Waiting for the weekend to start. Things are hectic at the office today in a "hurry up and wait" sort of way. No particular plans for the weekend, but there are a couple of personal projects I'd like to work on. Hoping for some nice downtime!

Star Date 011714; received a priority one message from Admiral wifeyalfaone; to re-direct to the home planet of homedepot and proceed with the directed task of rebuilding the porcelain thrones contained within the residence of xmastidings....

LOL... Good morning thought I would do a Star Trek parody for you this morning (love those programs and movies....).

Well, I'm not too far off from my blub above, I took the day off today from work and I have 3 different contractors coming to the house today to look at some tasks that I would like to have done. So, I'll be a little bit busy today but I'll be checking in from time to time to see what's up with everyone today....:transform:

:):)

TGIF, my Christmas friends!

It's another chilly day, with a colder day coming tomorrow, but it's supposed to be 70° by Monday.

Mrs. Hilda's homemade soup was just as good as I wanted it to be last night. Mmm, mmm! My brother and I always meet our mom on Friday for lunch, so that's the plan today. Tomorrow I have to take down the last of my Christmas decorations. I have a Santa that I put on the roof of my shop in the back yard. I hate to take him down, but it wouldn't be as special if I left him up all year.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Love home cooking... 'specially when someone else cooks!

I can't remember if I told y'all that instead of using individual stones for the patio room, we are going to have the concrete stamped with a skin applied. It is really going to look good and be easy to maintain. I am taking pictures and will post them when I can show the finished concrete work. Then it will be time for the beginning of my dream!

You're giving me some great ideas for my renos! Thanks

Good morning everyone`! I am playing hooky today:) I have to work Monday so this way I still get a 3 day weekend. I am home listening to Bob and Sheri on the radio, I use to get them when I lived in Ga but I have to listen on the computer now. They were talking about the saddest movie you will ever watch, and because it's January we all need a good cry right? Has anyone heard of it? it's an Asian movie that was remade here in the states in 2009 I don't even know the name of it because I don't even know how to pronounce it, but there is a book about it too. The movie features Richard Gere in 2009 and it's about a dog that follows him to the train station everyday and they become buddies then Richard Gere character dies and the dog keeps coming back every day to see him(sob sob) has anyone heard of this movie or book? I would love to have a good cry right about now!lol have a great morning everyone!

I don't understand how people 'enjoy' watching sad movies. I steer clear of sad movies esp animal ones. I try to keep cheery... I think I feel too easily because just reading this I felt so bad for the poor dog. There was a news article recently from China where a stray dog sat and slept in the middle of the road next to its dead pal while cars whizzed passed and I cried

I feel sad for both of you just thinking about it. I was devastated after I lost my dog, Gretchen. So much that I have not the entertained the thought of having a pet again. I have to get over this though cause the kids would like a dog or cat at some point and it is unfair of me.

I believe animals go to heaven......:)

I feel similar. I had pets as a kid and reacted badly to their loss. Then having my own family we knew that having pets teaches responsibilty and develops emotions but when we lost our rottweiler (named ROTT btw) we fell apart. We never had another pet until my daughter bought a cockatiel and when it passed I was traumatised by both this and watching my daughter's pain. I'm an absolute mess!!!

I've been up a while now catching up on posts. The house is still quiet at 7.20am Saturday and I'm considering making my second coffee for the morning... hoping against hope it might improve my memory... or just because I like coffee!
Our weatherman predicts HOT!!! Partly cloudy. Isolated thunderstorms with little or no rainfall. Winds NW/NE 15 to 20 km/h shifting S/SW 20 to 30 km/h in the morning. Daytime maximum temperatures 42°C (107.6).
I think I'll break down my house work and take my pool dips in between each chore just to keep my core temp down.

:merry:Good afternoon/evening everyone....hope yeah all are having a fantastic friday..have a great weekend everyone:merry:

I completely agree with you to a certain extent- the movie "Hachi- A Dog's Tale" is a true story. I don't think it's meant to be a sad movie, even though it can be at times. The movie is truly beautiful, showing the bond of love that is shared. How fiercely loyal, true, loving, and unconditional animals are ❤️ That wonderful message is what I took from it.

Well all of my work for today is done and now it's time to kick back and watch the Barrett Jackson car auction and dream about how I'm going to spend that $400 million I just know I'm destined to win from the lottery.
