Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

What a hectic week it's been, and it ain't over yet! I didn't even get a chance to post at all yesterday.

I can't stay long, but I wanted to say "hey!" and let you know I'm still here. The crazy doctor hasn't called with Nancy's results yet, and she is going bonkers with anticipation. Hopefully today...

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Praying, Brad.

Me too!!! Last night's show was a little to tame. Hopefully it will be better this afternoon!!

LOL!! Not enough wine?

Well it looks like our daily snow storm has arrived!! It only got here 5 hours sooner than it was forecasted.

Asking for prayers for my Mom! My brother/sil took her to the hospital overnight - she was having chest pains. By the time she got to the hospital, she was fine! They ran all kinds of tests & kept her overnight. They did an EKG this morning. So far everything is coming back OK & she feels fine. They did find that the top of her heart is beating different at times than the bottom, which my sil (who is a nurse) says is very common & can sometimes cause chest pains. They will keep her overnight tonight for observation & if she is stable, will go home in the morning. Her cardiologist wants her to start on Xarelto to prevent clotting/stroke & he wants to see her within a week!

Also asking for prayers for my FIL who will be having knee replacement surgery in 30 minutes! He had the left knee done in December & today he is having the right knee done!

What a day!

Thinking of them both and hope all goes well.

Good morning,

I have already called out from work today, I also finally scheduled a doctor appointment for this afternoon. I am feeling a little better, but still have no appetite and just an overall blah feeling. I am already scheduled off tomorrow due to the hours being cut. So I will have today and tomorrow to rest up and hopefully feel better so I can head back to work on Friday.
Just trying to catch up on some of my Christmas shows and movies I recorded on the DVR, I have to start weeding through the ones I won't watch throughout the year.

I am watching the Rankin/Bass special "The Life & Adventures of Santa Claus" I have never watched this one all the way through, because I have found it boring, I guess I will try it again.

I will be in and out throughout the day.

Take care. It's wonderful that when we feel unwell, we get some comfort from our christmas movies.

Next Christmas we are going to add a new wrinkle to our celebrating/decorating, we are going to go onto my in-laws land and hunt for a tree in the woods to cut down and set up and decorate on our porch. My wife wants to try it since our porch looks a little bare. I am looking forward to it.

Sounds wonderful. Your plans for this christmas are already underway!

My niece in Seattle received "The Shining Star" award tonight at the school board meeting. They pick one kid per school to get it.

That's her teacher in the picture.

That is awesome - congratulations to her!

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a cold day here with a high around 18 degrees predicted. Right now we are sitting at 2 degrees after a low of -8. Not to much going on here today. Just have laundry going and I need to get back to my cleaning and organizing. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!

It dipped down to -10 at 3 am today, but it wasn't very windy out. Considering how much further south you are than me, you had some cold temperatures! Stay warm!!

Good morning, MMC family!!

Happy Pines Day!!!!!!

We are currently at our high for the day, 1 degree. Snow flurries continue, it looks so pretty!! But feels pretty cold, as well.

I have the day off today, so I am going to relax, do some reading, watch some tv, and fold some laundry.

Thinking of you all, and sending hugs!!

xx

I hope you are keeping warm and enjoying your day off!
xo

This one was on January 12, 2011, I was home sick for a few days that week, and I was going to go back to work that day, but obviously we were homebound. That was just the start of a crazy year for weather in 2011.

Ok, I'm pretty sure the one I'm thinking of was 2010. I can't even imagine three feet of snow!

Holdover Christmas decorations update.

As of my walk yesterday afternoon, there were still 16 out of 97 houses decorated in our neighborhood.
(Down from 18 a couple of days ago but still pretty good for late January!)

I love it!

They should add this to the list:
You look at all pine trees and can't help to think what they would look like with lights and ornaments on it. cheesy

Yes, they should definitely add that to the list!

I actually prefer driving in snow compared to rain. I hate driving in the rain.

I'm not crazy about the rain either. The ice is what actually worries me, not so much the actual snow.

Me too! Along with shoveling and de-icing the walkways.

Yes, that too!

....not to mention pushing a stroller/pram in it!!!

It's been a while since I've pushed one of those, lol. But I would agree with you!
