Going to see if Nascar practice is on and see how everyone looks...

Tomorrow is date night for Dr. Wifey and me....she wants to go see a movie that I think isn't going to be any good, but oh well...

Watching a news article on the Thames floods. Diana would have been proud of her boys Harry and William today!!! They knuckled down to help the military shore up the levees. I hope everyone is safe.

Work again today, that's 5 days in a row, something I do not get often! I love it, wish I could do that every week

Oh, I'm looking forward to spring and summer! I feel better this morning--- even though everything is a slushy mess, I'm enjoying the sight of little snow flurries flying around outside my office window. They're still calling for a possible 6 inches of snow later tomorrow, but the good news is that it's a 3-day weekend for us (Monday is Presidents Day), and we don't have to go anywhere during the storm.

I'm still concerned, though, because the temps went above freezing, so we had rain on top of 9 inches of heavy snow. The rainwater can't run off because of the snow cover, and streets are wet and slushy. The temps are supposed to fall below freezing again this weekend, and it's going to be h#ll when that slush and water freeze. I hope they clear our street more thoroughly today before that happens. We're also reaching the point of "where do we put the snow?" The plows can't just push it to the side anymore, because there's too much there already! But I'm sure Made and others in the Midwest and eastern Canada are laughing at that, because they reached that point long ago!

It sounds such a horrible mess. Fingers crossed they clear streets so that it's not to bad. I hope you all get a break from the snow so you can at least deal with the current debris.

Mr. is a fan of George Formby. Do you ever listen to him? Mr. says he's still much loved in England, even though he's from the 1930s and 1940s. I've seen several of his movies, and he's a charmer, even though he's not a looker!

Yes I do listen to Formby (and his ukulele) now and then. He was from the North, his hometown is not far from me. In fact his stage name ''Formby'' was after a little town called Formby near here. He's still one of Britain's best loved entertainers and he definitely has that Northern charm and humour.

Nancy and I don't really celebrate V-Day, but we do things for the kids, and we're having dinner with her sister & BIL tonight. We got the kids some candy and a copy of Despicable Me 2. I'm looking forward to seeing that one.

I've been waiting impatiently for a few weeks to find out if I get the promotion I've been discussing with my boss. I know he wishes I'd quit hanging out around his office door...LOL. I might even get a Valentine's Day kiss if I came home with a raise! Maybe one day he'll tell me.

Mother Nature must not have liked her Christmas gifts or something-

Here's a look at your weather headlines. It's going to be a roller coaster ride of weather over the next two weeks. The snow will continue today with 2-4" of snow possible across Southern Indiana and 1-2" of snow possible across Central Indiana and Western Ohio. Light snow will again be possible on Saturday Night with another inch possible across most of Indiana and Western Ohio.

Warmer temperatures will arrive next week but with the warmer temperatures will come concerns for flooding, fog development and thunderstorms. In fact there are some indications we could be dealing with strong to severe storms by the end of next week.

And if all of that isn't bad enough, it looks like our warm-up will only be temporary. By the first of March a cold and winter like pattern looks to return to the Ohio Valley.

Well atleast the weather is so unpredictable that it could all change in a matter of days. Praying things take a drastic turn for the better for all of us! Our long term forecast is rather dreary to.

Weather is cooling slowly. We're averaging 35-40°C. I have air conditioning, a pool and a bath but feel bad for those who don't. It rained all night and sounds lovely this morning. I think I've lost 4 plants to the searing sunshine but hoping there is still a bit of life hidden in them so I'm not pulling them out yet.

I hope things continue to cool down to a more tolerable temperature. You might be right about those plants, l hope so anyway.

I made chocolate boxes on google's app.. did anyone else?

That is so cool! Hubby wrote sort of a digital Valentines message to me he surprised me @ work with chocolates & showed it to me

Good evening, MMC! DH took me to Berkeley Spring for the weekend for VDay! We just got back from the spa and it was very relaxing.

The major headache I woke up with is finally gone, but it has left me wiped out. Not planning on doing much more than read or watch a movie later. I listened to several hours of the 50th Anniversary of the British Invasion programming today while I worked ~ interesting stuff and some very good music, too!

Adi is so sweet! I cam home to Ghiradelli white chocolate in a new fondue pot that he bought us! And slices strawberries to dip in it! It was amazing!! Then he went a bought a bottle of our favorite local wine, and we are eating my favorite take out <3 shaped pizza. So full & happy =)

Going to go watch a movie together now.

Good morning, everyone! Hope you're enjoying the weekend so far! DH is heading out to pick up some breakfast. The bed and breakfast has a restaurant, but we're going to stay in and eat, since USA and Russia is playing hockey this morning. Big game. Go USA! Later this morning, I think we're going to head out and see what this town has to offer historically and shop wise, then head home.
