I forgot to tell yall that Brandi has found a teaching job next fall at a catholic school. And since we are catholic well that's great! The pay is a little lower than public education but we do alright without her working so anything extra is great. The only problem is that I will not be home until late sept and she starts the first of August. So we are planning on hiring a sitter for 8 weeks until I get home. I can always ask for the 4 to midnight shift and that way I will be at home during the day and we cat switch off so to speak!
So she will be a single parent for 6 months and the last 2 will be very hard I have to give it to single parents out there, or at least the ones that make it on their own. It's a very hard job I don't see how many women work full time and come home and still have all that work on front of them. Hopefully their partners are pitching in is all I can say!!! Anyway I think I am just going to fry the fish and eat then hang out here...wait I think survivor is coming on tonight it's the premiere! I have to watch that! talk to yall soon!

Lots of changes in your house, being a single parent is hard, but very rewarding too. She has your love and support, even if it is from a distance and will do fine. Sounds like you have a great plan in place.

Goodness yall are some early morning chatters here! I've been tossing and turning since 2am and decided to get up and Im so calling in sick today. I think it's just pre spring allergies kickin in but it's the stuffy head slight headache slight nauseated blah feeling of just being miserable in my own skin. Anyways maybe it will go away as the day progresses but I am not taking any chances this is what sick time is for.

Sooooo, on that very very bright and cheery description of how my day is going, I hope everyone has good morning and great day!!!

hope you recover quickly...I hear Christmas movies are great medicine for this kind of thing!

reading all the posts about the weather made me realize we are all the same! Here is snowing with more on the way too. Living in a monochrome world is getting boring. I want flowers and green grass!!
It is very cold here again today, -27c (16f) wind chill

I have to go and do some shopping and then get home and work on decorations for some cakes.

Same here---they're making noises about snow on Monday and throwing in the occasional "major" and "significant" in passing.

Amen to that! And as for temps, I'd be happy to crack 40F. We've been below freezing for a few days, and that doesn't look like it will change anytime soon.

Good morning!
Everyone is off to school and work. I straightened up the house, started laundry and vacuumed the house so far. I'm just having another cup of coffee before I head out to run a couple of errands. I finally have an appointment this afternoon to have my hair cut and colored. I had to cancel an appointment that I had when I was sick awhile back and I never rescheduled until now. I am so overdue! Not too much else going on. I'll probably start working on a menu plan and grocery list for next week too. If I could just figure out what to cook for dinner, I'm sick of everything!

Well I'm back from the airport. I was a good boy and didn't hop a plane to anywhere. After seeing the forecast for tomorrow though, I'm starting to rethink my decision. -20 wind chills. I'm so over it!!!

Good early evening everyone! I just got home from work and am already in bed, I just feel bad from head to toe. The weather is crazy this week. tomorrow looks like rain with a high of 52! The snow sure won't last long now in my back yard it's almost gone anyways. The rest of the week highs are in the low 50's with nothing but rain with a little snow mixed in with no accum. at all. Maybe the spring is here in the west! I am laying here with my beloved dogs and I am going to miss them much it brings a tear to my eyes! They are not like humans and I worry they think I am abandoning them when I leave like this. I still have not got supper on maybe in the next hour or two I will get up!!! talk to yall soon1

Here we go again! All roads out of town are now closed. Once again we are trapped in a windy, snowy deep freeze.
FM 107.7 Stratford

Perth County OPP have closed all roads in Perth County. They will be barricading as many roads as possible. Please do not drive around the barricades.

However OPP is requesting that people stay off the roads for your safety and that of the first responders.

Many accidents and white outs are making for dangerous driving conditions.

Home again, relaxing and just kicking back. Going to the Pines to see what everyone is up to and what Carl is planning.

The Subway I worked at before starting where i am now is under new management. Old manager fired for basically running the place into the ground.
New manager called and would very much like me to come back as they need some good working reliable people there. I said yes, but only days and I would keep my current job as well. She agreed to this. So soon I will be working there too which means I will have full time hours between the two places. Time will tell if I survive it! There will be many positive changes which is what the place really needs.

Today was a busy day - I had to go register EA for Kindergarten. Can't believe she will be heading there in the fall. What a milestone that will be!

Long night is over, we have picked out a new car, we put a deposit on it, we just don't know if the numbers are going to work out just yet. Fingers crossed.
It is a Chevy Sonic hatchback if you are curious what we chose. We sat at the dealership for 2 hours dealing with this.

Back to work early in the AM, at least it's payday.

It's really strange; we're getting Christmas episodes of King of Queens and The big bang theory this late... or is it early?

They have been showing Holiday episodes (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years) on Frasier the last couple nights too!

Merry Morning! It is cold,raining and it will only get worse throughout the next few days. No surprise there. Spring is never on time for us here so it will be another couple of months before there is a consistent (positive) change in weather.
