Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!
All this talk of cold weather, and it's supposed to be in the mid-70's here today. Still, it's going into the mid-30's tonight, but no freezing weather.
This weekend is the annual Rattlesnake & Wildlife Festival. It always drawings thousands of people into our community, with food & crafts vendors, rattlesnake & animal displays, music, beauty pageant, and the parade. I'm riding in the parade again this year, representing the City of Bellville, along with my son and my father-in-law, Bernie. I say it every year, but it's the truth: I'm the Mayor, but Bernie is Bellville's most recognizable citizen. Everybody loves Bernie! They call out to him from the street! I'm driving along the parade route, waving my beauty pageant rotating-hand wave, and folks are yelling "Bernie!". LOL
City council meeting tonight, then a meeting with the county commissioners tomorrow night. Ugh.
I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
A town in western Oklahoma has a rattlesnake festival. I don't know what y'all do at yours, but at ours there are folks who handle the snakes and go out hunting them to bring them back (alive) and see who gets the biggest one. That's crazy!!! Snakes scare me to death!
Hope you have fun at the parade!
