At the ER with mom. She is having another TIA/Stroke. Lots of weakness on her right side. Not really slurring her words though. So probably worse than the last one but not as bad the first stroke or first TIA.

Happily, the ice was not so terrible this morning. I think the wind dried some of the rainfall before it froze, so the treated roads were in good shape. That was a relief, because our new car arrived at the dealer's yesterday, so we had to go to arrange for the insurance this morning so the dealer could take the registration paperwork to the RMV. We'll be picking the car up Saturday. I'm excited and (being me) a little nervous. We haven't had a new car in ten years, and it has so many new features and is a wee bit bigger than I'm used to. But I'm sure it won't feel strange for long.
wuzzup my friends......Kandice is getting for her first dance tourney with her dancing group.....the girls are mighty exited......the kids are between 8 and 12.......Kandice is the youngest (and of course cutest)......cross Your fingers for the "Smilies" please....this Saturday
The chicken came out very good, the crockpot method never disappoints. Enjoying the Bruins game now.
Thank you all for the kind words about the anniversary of my mom's passing. I have had a good day, just a lot of memories and "whatcouldabeens?"
Almost time for dessert of chocolate creme pie.
Thank you all again, I truly, truly appreciate it.
Time for Irish Coffee!!!! Yabba!!
Good morning everyone! Friday here! xx No lectures for me today (again. I think I am starting to look like a very lazy university student) but instead we are going to have a field class to nuclear power plant. It will take us all day because it is 3 hours journey by bus one way. I am quite excited because getting into the plant is a very tricky thing. Our lecturer e-mail us five times already saying 'don't forget your ID and don't bring any electronic devices'. I have checked my bag many times to make sure I have my ID with me.
The forecast doesn't talk about rain today. I expect we will be inside most of the time but it is still nice to know there won't be raining just in case.
I wish you all a nice day before the weekend kicks off.![]()
The first irish coffee I had was my second date with hubby and boy it was strong. I was wearing heels and tipsy but I must have impressed him... married now 27 years!
praying all goes well for your mom. ((((HUGS))))Home from the hospital. They admitted mom and will probably keep her for a day or two according to the nurse. Her CT scan and MRI came back clear. So it was just another TIA and not a full fledge stroke thankfully. She was having an irregular heart beat this time though. They have had her wear a heart monitor for 24 hours 2 separate times over the last year looking for this and they have always come back clean. So hopefully now that it showed up while she was actually being monitored, they can adjust her blood thinners and get this all figured out once and for all.
Thanks for the heads up!!!
