Yep, there was a fire down by the operating rooms. They got it out pretty quick though.

Glad to hear everyone is okay!

Hello to all! For some reason I found today's traveling very exhausting. I can barely see my laptop. ^^ Anyway, today's trip was a good fun and very interesting. I use to be so anti-nuclear before I started this course but after today's trip, I am not so sure. In general, we have visited plenty of different plants this semester and there is one thing I have realised - if there were more people going to any kind of plant to see how difficult and complicated the process of electricity generated is, we all would use the energy much more efficiently. Period. It's kinda sad to know that most of people believe that energy generation is as easy as switching on the light. But once you see all this massive equipment and engines with all those people working SO hard just to make our light bulbs work, you start feeling feeling guilty leaving your chargers in the socket or overheating your room. :/

I would say that any kind of plant - nuclear, hydro, biomass, etc. - is a good destination for a day trip.

Good evening, Victoria! Glad to hear you enjoyed the trip. Hope you can get a nap in.

Good evening, MMC! Hope you're all having a great day!

Merry Friday! Just popping in quickly to say hey. I hope everyone is ok and looking forward to wrapping up another week! Have an easy going weekend, enjoy whatever you have planned!

Cheers
xx
I love poppers!
I have the weekend off, paid work that is. Going to make and decorate a cake, bake a cheese cake and a lemon cheese cake (unbaked) Going shopping tomorrow morning.
Hope you have a great weekend too!

Good morning MMC! Happy, Happy Friday! I'm looking forward to the weekend again! Today & tomorrow are supposed to be warmer (57 & WINDY today, 50 tomorrow) but Sunday is supposed to be cold again. High of 29º, 13 mph wind - and of course that's the day we do the 5k! Brrrrr! Tomorrow morning Jim is going to go pick up the quote & door sample the cabinet maker came up with for us for our kitchen remodel. Tomorrow afternoon we are going to an open house at the window/door company to order windows/doors for our addition. There is also mass for my brother who passed away at 5:00, a benefit/card tournament (guys night out) for my hubby's 2 cousins who are deceased, there is a big sale at the furniture store, a Paddy's day party at the Legion, it's a MMC Milestone day, and it's our 17th wedding anniversary! BUSY DAY!!!! Sunday is the 5k, then we will be with our friends all day. Looking forward too it. Hubby & I are both off work on Monday...looking fwd to that too! Oh, and of course we have to find time in there to spoil doggies!!! LOL

Wishing you all a safe/happy/fun filled/relaxing weekend!!!
you are busy!

Hmm, it's probably not good when the hospital catches fire.

Thank God!

Yeah, when they start shouting code red north OR over the intercom and then you see 3 fire trucks pull up, it shakes things up a bit. LOL!!

Very scary!

We are not glowing yet. I guess 'The Simpsons' has influenced this myth. ^^ And no, we were only allowed to take our passports with us, nothing more. (By saying 'nothing' I literally mean that.)

Happy anniversary to you both, and best of luck in your 5K race on Sunday!

Happy Anniversary to you and your husband!

Happy Friday, all! It's a good day today. I have music, lots of work to do (job security!), and coffee. A very good day. :-D (Smile of contentment)

Oh, and it's supposed to snow again Sunday and Monday too!

MerryBells ~ love this post!

Made, continued prayers for your mom ~ and you, too! {{{HUGS}}}

Home from the hospital. They kept mom again tonight. She should be released tomorrow sometime. All of her tests came back fine today. So they are just putting her on a more powerful blood thinner. Her right foot is still pretty numb though and she can't walk without a walker. It is better than it was this morning when I left so hopefully it continues to improve.

I was so happy to hear this, buddy.

So glad to hear that she is improving and that they changed her medicine. Hopefully her blood levels will get under control, everything will get stabilized, and the medicine will prevent the TIA's from happening. Praying she has a good night and better day tomorrow.
