Christmas Countdown - 2014

Happy Pines day all. Hard to believe we are 1/4 of the way to Christmas. Our son's senior year is flying by, as I feared it would. We've had great weather here. It has snowed about 4 inches over the last couple of days and the temp was 19 when I left for work this morning. I love to see snow covered mountains. Hate to see it ending soon.

A day of Christmas movies sounds great. I didn't get to see a single one. Bummer! Gracie is now 14.9 lbs - the little piggy! Doubled her weight in a month.

She did, thanks! She outgrew her heart murmur. Wew! I was so glad to hear that. She got her Lepto vaccine last night though - she was so sore. She wasn't even bothering Buster. We couldn't pick her up or pet her - she would squeal. BUT she's back to her rotten little self this morning!

Long, rough night at work. Inventory is done for the month, I am glad I was able to get out on time, it didn't look good most of the night.

The snowstorm that was predicted looks to be a complete miss now, the latest forecast I saw is saying 0.10 inches, I don't even think that qualifies as a dusting.

I may not be able to make it in here on milestone day tomorrow with work, dinner and the hockey game. I am not planning to get home until close to 11pm. I look forward to my daily dose of MMC. I will try to pop in to say hi at some point.

I am beyond exhausted after my night.

Happy Pines Day mgramsey, I hope you're having a great day!
 
I just got back from lunch with my mom, aunt and granddaughter. Afterward we went to the Arboretum just to walk around for an hour. I am so happy this place is so close to home and have unlimited visits for the year. Regular admission is 18 bucks for adults but we paid the one time membership fee for the year to go as often as we want. The Children's Garden is like a giant playground and my grandchildren love it! The whole Arboretum is huge so we get plenty of exercise walking around there.

As you and I have chatted about it before, it's not fun when our kids move away. My daughter lives around the block and I miss her all the time! Enjoy every minute with your son while he is there, I know you will!

Milestone 'Pines Day! Happy day, everyone! Glad we can all celebrate together.

Carl's done it again, too! Great times to be had by all! A full quarter back to Christmas. And, incredibly, it still looks a lot like Christmas here in Ottawa! To celebrate, aside from with all you at the 'Pines, I am excited to listen to the second half of the Merry Podcast on my way home. The first half was very enjoyable, and I am sure the second half great, too!

Well, I have to head home. Then, I have a nice date with the gym! Have a great Milestone 'Pines Day, everyone!

I don't think you would be jealous! They were expecting lots of power outages and downed trees from the high winds (near hurricane force). It's a great blessing that the storm edged out to sea. It would have been a major catastrophe if the track hugged the shoreline---all of eastern Mass. would be in a blizzard now.

We're on the same schedule. I heard about half of it on my way to work, and will be listening to the rest of it on my way home.

Good evening everyone! I hope you all had/are having a nice day.

I am glad to finally be back on track. Did my research today and even published the finished blog. That was a lot of work but I am glad I managed to do everything in one day. I could send the link if anyone is interested in some scientific reading. ^^

Also, I applied for financial aid from 'Scotland Volunteer Support' few weeks ago to cover my living expanses while I will be volunteering at Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. I thought it would be helpful to get funding so I wouldn't need to ask for extra money from my mum. I received an e-mail saying that my application was successful! I can't be happier!

I am now doing some reading on eLearning website of the Games. There is so much to learn before the Games start! Oh, and Christmas music is playing in the background too.
