I wonder if Carl has a cure for the common cold ?
Or maybe just something that will make you feel like the cold is a nice thing to have?
I had to stay home from work today, did not think customers would want their cashier to cough all over their groceries.
I am cooking a big pot of chicken soup, put some garlic in it and the house is smelling really good now.

I bet Carl has just the trick!

Is it a normal cake walk??? Why I ask is every year I have looked forward to taking my kids when they were little and now my grandchildren to the Halloween school carnival where they have games and a cake walk. It was also the elementary school I attended. I look so forward to doing the cake walk that we have running jokes about me being in training for it. :lol: Well, they just went and ruined it as of 2 years ago. We went to one school and they called it a "Cake Walk", you just place your ticket on a number and spin a wheel. I thought how boring! No one is walking! Then we went to another school that use to have nice cake walks and now they just have you stand on a number without walking around and draw a number. What happened to walking around to the music and stop when the music stops? Petty complaint, I know! But it was a childhood memory and one I made with the kids and grandkids. If we are just standing in one place I am wasting my time doing some serious training too! :lol:

Oh my goodness!!! I need to get my good walking shoes on and start training for it! In fact, I will start walking up north now! That should be enough training! :lol:

Hope this finds everyone doing great! Had a good day today. We were notified that our high school is in the top 20 in Arkansas and in the top 5% in the nation. Good stuff, good stuff.

About to go and read the rest of the boards. Haven't been here since Sunday, so I'm sure there is plenty happening.

During the winter I go many nights without running the heat or have it set at no higher than 64 degrees. I love it cold!!! =)

I had to laugh at this post as even on the coldest nights, I don't turn the heat up higher than 62. cheesy

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump/Pines Day!!! I'm running behind this morning so I'm sure I have a lot of catching up to day! I had to take Mom to an eye doc apt this morning. She is having cataract surgery in May & we went to get all her instructions this morning. I DID NOT want to come into work after that. It's such a beautiful, though chilly, sunshiny day!!!

Last night I worked on getting Gracie's wireless fence marked off & I took her for a walk...then went for a 3 mile walk myself! We had leftovers for supper - pretty relaxing night.

Evening all, just popping in as I don't get to say goodnight

I am just making dinner. A quick pasta dish tonight. The kids are washing bottles and cans for recycling. Which means bath time will soon follow as my toddler is involved so you can just imagine water and suds everywhere........

My mum emailed me a photo of Miley (the cat) wearing her custom size Easter bonnet. I just have to post this photo on here for you all to see when I get a chance LOL.

wuzzup? All good over here.....the only bad thing...my favorite soccer team lost the first of two semifinal games against Real Madrid.......darn it.....just 0:1....they still got all the chances in the world.....still.....not nice.....

Kandice is asleep now...and I.....well I am not reall ytired yet, but will try to sleep asap......One of my dearest friends celebrates her 34th b-day tomorrow....so I´ll be a bit b usy by helping her with the preparations....Kandice will be in the hockey camp again and run and jump and play all day

I walked for 45 minutes on the treadmill, on an incline. That's good for me!

Good afternoon everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. :] Mine was quiet. I went to the church in the morning and had some lunch with few friends in the late afternoon. It was nice though.

Also, I received my shift timetable at the Commonwealth Games last night. I must say that I will be working quite a lot but that's perfectly okey with me because it means I will definitely get the most out of my volunteering there. :]

I only have few more days left before I start my exam revision. I hope to get my inspiration back and write a generous chunk for the novel. (It's been quite lately in terms of writing.)

We have a wireless fence for Ella too. We hardly ever have to use it now, but glad we still have it.

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be another beautiful day here with a high in the mid 60's. I've been working on getting my cleaning done all morning. I figured I better knock it out before I got on here in case I get distracted like I did yesterday. I just have a few quick things left to do. I also need to work on figuring out what kind of cake I want to make to donate to my niece's cake walk at their school festival Friday night. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone.....beautiful weather over here.......almost summer.....around 68 degrees....going over 70 come Friday....Kandice is in field hockey camp....not overnight....but she spends Tuesday til Friday from 9am to 4pm at the hockeyfield with plenty other kids....including catering and drinks.....today the had pizza.....no need to say she was delighted!!!!

Sounds like it a fun week for Kandice!

Good afternoon!
I was in and out of my house so much yesterday that I ended up falling behind on my chores. I'm just trying to catch up with everything today. Not too much else going on for me. I have a couple of quick errands to run this afternoon as well, then back home to start dinner. A pretty boring day! And I should really get on the treadmill at some point, if I can find the strength. I've been so tired lately!

Darn - I had several posts I was going to respond too before lunch & I got the boot! I'm back from lunch & back to reading posts..



Here is what I can remember:

Meceka - we do have a pretty large garden! My sister gardens it with me, but she's the one who's hubby just had the bypass so she wasn't able to help the other night. Thankfully my hubby helped. He's always our "tiller" :smile:



Brad - I hope Jacob mowed the lawn to your specifications! :lol:



Sugar - bummer you had to work on YOUR day! Hope it went well! Hope your birthday was great!



I know there was more but ???

It's okay! I had the two days prior off. My co-workers had a party for me, so it was nice. It was busy, but it was still nice!
