OMG I just loved her.~ How sad. I remember telling my Mom how I liked her deep hoarse voice and Mom said, "thats what smoking does to your vocal chords"....! Here's Susanne in Hitchcock's "The Birds". She was only 70.

Good Sunday everybody! We are all the way up to a whopping 8º this afternoon! Sun is shining & it sure looks prety outside - that would be inside, looking out - stick one toe out the door & you instantly know it's flippin cold out there!! We got home in the wee hours of the morning this morning (blaming that on friends...) & the thermometer in the car said 1º, wind was blowing...it was brutal!! :cold: I'm going to stay right here for now & drink my cuppa Boston Nut Cream COFFEE....MMMMMM....

That's so sad! I always thought she was such a pretty lady! She was too young!

My husband and I were chatting about Suzanne this morning.

I said the same thing about her voice that you said, and pretty much got the same reply from my mom as you Cedar.

Someone tell me there's still time to shop and plan and stock up on Scotch Tape.

I was starting to plan my vacation requests for the year (I get 25 paid plus STATS) and it seems like everything is so close.

We have a new STAT holiday now called Family Day on the second Tues. in Feb. each year to help folks with the blahs. Before you know it, March Break will be here and Easter is early and then Christmas in July will be here (a skipped a few) and then Thanksgiving and Halloween and ... the "season will be officially underway in the countdown.

& I better get busy or I won't be ready.

Auntie I have a funny feeling you'll be the first one who will be ready for Christmas 2008. Do you have any special vacation plans for this summer ? We want to try to meet somewhere so we all can get to know each other.

~Auntie! So you heard the same rant, huh? Yeah, my Mom...bless her heart...subscribed to the child rearing doctrine of scaring the crapola out of her girls. Things like: "Don't do that! It will BLIND you"...or "Don't do that, it will RUIN your reputation"...or "Don't do that or it will be on your PERMANENT record"!!! Know what? I miss her daily, wish I could get free advice from her again....

Bingster. You are so worldly...you went to Bodaga Bay? YABBA!! As only you would know...Saw that UTube, that bedroom scene was a classic. Thanks for that tip, Bing.

Ah! Monday it is, Holiday.
I felt I was cold when I commuted at 20 degrees until I saw your post. It also pales against the -3 degrees they had in Green Bay during the game, with a wind chill of -24!
Don't see how they could survive.

Days to the Season: 297
Days to Christmas Day: 339
Slowly working our way through the 200's, on toward the 25% milestone barely over 3 weeks away.

We had a dusting of snow over the weekend, but I doubt more than 1/4". We are still in a rather severe drought and could have used the moisture.
But it's so dry. (Let me tell you, you know it's dry when you get out of a hot shower and there is no steam on the mirror!)

Sorry to those that may live in the Wisconsin, Michigan area...What a game!!! Both teams played very well...It was truly an even match...It was just one of those games that depend more on timing than playing...the timing of the Giants field goal was what won it...It was truly an even match...
