I love the sound of ducks quacking ~ I hear geese honking in my area because of all the ponds. There is one pair of ducks that hang out here, but only for a few days and then they fly off.

Minus the rain- it's been torrential downpours all day, and poor Harlowe is a ball of nerves because of the thunder.

Aw, poor Harlowe! I hope things have calmed down for her! {{{HUGS}}}

Unfortunately, not. Hasn't stopped pouring since it started, around 9:30 this morning. They closed down part of the interstate, even. High winds, rain, thunder, plus accidents everywhere. I pray that it stops soon.

Thank you for the prayers and positive thoughts, everyone. Our eye doctor thinks Mr. may have a torn retina, and has referred him to a specialist. He's going to try to get an appointment this week. Hopefully it can be repaired in the office. His other eye is perfectly clear, so that's a good thing.

Long day, like usual. JP had another baseball game tonight, and it got cold up on the hill tonight. They won again, so 2 in row for them.

We are one step away from the new car, we will hopefully find out tomorrow, I hate how long this has taken.

I am having trouble keeping my eyes open, soo.

Man, I just lost my post; so I will try again! I have been so busy trying to get some new recipes to help save money during construction. Hubby said he will reconnect our old stove soon to use until we get further along. Don't get me wrong; I love to eat out, but it costs so much! One of the bad things is having such a small cooking space and having to cook something, empty the cooking container and clean it up to use on another dish, and reheat everything just before serving dinner! I clean up in the hall laundry sink, and that is a pain; it's really hard on my back having to lean over the deep sink. The doctor told me to keep that to a minimum since the cancer pill I take daily has some painful side effects.

Something weird is going on with our weather. Winter is normally our wet season with quite a few high winds, and we hardly ever get thunderstorms. However, we have had a lot of thunderstorms (for us) this spring. In fact, we are in the middle of our second one today! My former classroom aide was supposed to come over after school today, but she was so afraid of the thunder and lightning. She would probably pass out during a Southern thunderstorm! This is just a heads-up of the weather headed to the east!

Insomnia is another side effect of my cancer pill, and I practically stay tired throughout the whole day. I am going to talk to my oncologist about drug alternatives! Maybe we can figure out something. Thanks, Track, and other FB friends for so many cute, funny, and uplifting posts. They really make me smile.

I think I will read some more. I am reading two books, and I am at some exciting parts in both of them!

Mark, it looks like you and Snowflake had a great visit! I am looking forward to 2015!

I have put my career in real estate on hold, it was just too expensive for us, especially starting out, and we were losing money. It goes back to me not knowing too many people here, too, unfortunately.

But, I have a newer job as a Chiropractic Assistant, and I love it!
I work for an amazing doctor, and work M-F, so great to have weekends free again.

You are right, Snowflake, about dinner sounding amazing. Night before last, I fixed teriyaki chicken over rice. We bought the packaged Hawaiian chicken at Costco, and I also bought frozen boneless Asian chicken thighs from Wal-Mart. I cut up the Costco chicken into bite-size pieces and I left the Wal-Mart chicken whole and cooked it with bottled Mandarin sauce from Panda Express. It was so yummy, and the leftovers were good, too.

That sounds delicious!! Now I'm craving
Chinese!! =]
