Good morning! We had thunderstorms roll thru our area at 4:30 this morning, so needless to say, I was up after that... Last night, I decided not to do much in home improvements around the house and decided instead to do some exploring around the neighboring towns.

So, the Mrs and I went on a road trip for a couple of hours. We found some restaurants, shopping centers and yes, places that made and sold homemade Ice cream. We stopped at one those ma and pa places and got some homemade Ice cream with a chocolate dipped waffle cone with sprinkles; wow, what a tremendous difference from the store bought stuff... I was in hog heaven~ Lisa had to keep nudging me, to tell me to wipe my face; I was into that ice cream so much, I kept getting it all in my whiskers and mustache cheesy! Ahhhh, I was lost into the moment and didn't care just how much I was wearing it, instead I asked her if she wanted a big wet cold kiss.....:lol:

Hopefully, it will be a really nice and quiet day around here at the office, half of my co-workers are out and the boss is out for the whole day as well, It's amazing how much work you can get done when you don't have those constant interruptions all day long.

The homemade stuff is so much better, it is a real treat when we get it. Glad you enjoyed it.

Good evening,

Just read through the posts pretty quickly, I am trying to get to sleep earlier than I have the last few nights.


We did it!!!! We bought a new car!!!! We agreed to a deal last night while we were at JP's baseball game, the payment is higher than we were anticipating but we still got a heck of a deal, and our interest rate is a lot lower than we were anticipating.
We are glad this whole ordeal is past us, and we picked it up earlier tonight.
It is a 2014 Chevy Spark, we went with new because of the lower interest rate and warranty, the used all had higher mileage, and we were leery of financing for a certain number of years and having it poop out on us before the term was over.
So after all the test drives we went for the little zippy car.
We test drove and looked at:
Chevy Sonic Hatchback
Chevy Cruze
Honda Civic
Saab 9-3 (I really liked that one, but the mileage was very high)
Nissan Xterra
a few more too, I just can't remember.

Just so very happy this is done. It has been weighing on us since February.
Thank you all for the words of encouragement throughout the whole process, some days it really helped when things looked so bleak.

Today would have been my mother's 60th birthday, so it has been a little bittersweet in that regard. I miss her dearly.

Morning will be here too quickly.

Aww, it sounds SO great! I've been to Norway twice but never in the very south. Oh well, maybe someday. ^^ Have a safe trip and an amazing time!

Good morning everyone and happy Friday! I am quite an early bird today. I woke up around 6 o'clock. The night here was cooler than I had expected and since I kept the window in my room open, I was too cold to sleep. Instead, I decided to watch 'The Jane Austen Book Club'. Again. If I told someone how many times I have already watched that movie, that person would think that I am crazy. Unfortunately, I can't help how much that movie warms my heart. <3

Have a productive day before weekend hits. :]
