I just stopped by the house on my way back to work from lunch. While I was there adjusting the pool settings, a few girls (probably 10-13 years old) came up and asked if they could swim in the pool.

I'd love to be able to say yes, but last week my neighbor told me she saw 3 little girls climb the handrail and jump in and out of the pool quickly. It's a safe bet that it's the same 3 girls. Anyway, I told them that we don't even allow our own children to swim unsupervised, so no.

It's a shame, but these days you'll get sued in a second if someone gets hurt on your property, and I wouldn't be able to live with myself if something terrible happened.

I hope I don't have to put up signs. :-(

yes it is sad, but this is not new. When my kids were younger we stopped in a motel for the night and headed for a dip in the pool. About 15 min later 3 little kids (aged 6 to 10) showed up. I asked where their parents were, they said back in the room. They were told since an adult was in the pool they could go without their parents. I immediately told them to go back to their room and got out with my kids and we went back to our room. no way was I going to be made responsible for someone else's kids.

Long and lazy day here.
Done some errands though, and packing.

Im taking the boys away for the weekend.
We are flying south early tomorrow morning, all to the end of Norway cheesy
We are going to a zoo, amusement park and waterpark
It will be fun for all of us! ♥

Im sitting here dipping my milk chocolate into my coffee before it goes straight to my mouth... Mmmmm...
And it's not Saturday!??? Don't tell anyone!

Good evening !

That storm finally hit here around 11:15 pm last night. It was quite the storm too, but it did not wake me up, my daughter did coming into my room to see if my window was closed so the rain would not come in. LOL, Of course once I was awake, the storm continued until at least the time I fell asleep again. It was a wild one, lots of loud thunder and bright lightening.

Good Evening, Everyone!!!!! Mom's appointment went good. Her blood level was still in the good range so she gets to go a week and a half before going back this time. Thankfully the storms let up for us to get home but they just started back up again. I won't complain though. Mother Nature needs to get it all out of her system before the parade and race this weekend. I'll see everyone at the Pines!!!!!!

Good evening! Quiet around here now, we had some pretty wild thunderstorms with hail and high winds but they're all blown over and heading Northeast now. I'm going sit back and relax for the rest of the evening, watch some episodes of chopped and then call it a night.

Mr. had the laser procedure today, and it seems to have gone well. They don't really make any guarantees that his vision will improve, but at least the tear in the retina is repaired. The doctor let us know that once this happens, it could happen again, or occur in the other eye, at any time---"because your other eye is the same age." Not so encouraging, but that's life as you get a bit older. I don't think of us as being so very old, but when you run into something like this, you start to feel old anyway.

At least we got to the ball game. But it was a dud. The Sox lost 6 to 4. It was 5 to 1 when we left during the 5th. They sure aren't the team they were last year. And the prices! Two sodas, chicken tenders with fries, and a burger with fries, $37.50! Five bucks for a 20-oz bottle of soda, $4.25 for a bag of popcorn! You gotta love Fenway Park to pay for all that plus your tickets and the train.

Glad to hear that the doctor was able to repair the retina. The condition is something that is very scary, but hopefully he won't have any more issues and he will regain his site.

So glad you guys got to go to the game, but bummer they lost. It's crazy the prices at games now. I just grin and bare it!

I am going to read awhile. I started a new (to me) book, Burn Factor by Kyle Mills ; and I will continue with the Jo Nesbo book. We have another dinner meeting tomorrow evening, and we will be heading to Madera to attend our nephew's high school graduation this weekend. TTYL

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is well. We are approaching the end of another workweek so make some coffee and hold on until the weekend. ^^ I've just checked in online for my flight to Lithuania next Thursday. Going home in a week. So excited! I am now trying to call my mum to congratulate her on her birthday but she is not picking up. I bet her phone is on silent mode while she is at work. Oh well.

Good morning!
We are expecting rain showers over the next three days with temperatures in the mid to lower 60's. It still looks like it will clear up and be nice for Sunday and Monday so at least the long weekend won't be a wash out.
I have to head out for an appointment later this morning, then back home to work on my daily chores. I'm also still working on a menu plan for our Memorial Day barbeque, so I may look up some new recipes later this afternoon. Not too much else going on for me today.
My husband told me the kitchen cabinets are finally at the finisher. He has been swamped at work for the past couple of weeks and had to put our kitchen on the back burner. So I was happy to hear we are moving in the right direction again. This has been the longest project ever!!!
