Thank you, Victoria

Happy Birthday to your Mom!!

I am excited for you & your trip home! I know how much that means to you. Wishing you a lovely time!!

xx

Good morning Victoria!
You must be very excited about going home soon, I'm so happy for you!
Happy Birthday to your mum!!!

Thank you both. 'Skype connection has been very poor tonight so I couldn't have a proper chat with my mum. Anyway, it seems that her birthday was very quiet. No cake or something cause my dad is away at the moment. Anyway, I promised to make her a cake when I am back. I already have some ideas in mind so we will see how everything turns out. :]

Good afternoon, MMC~

I have a WI Chiropractic Assoc. meeting tonight, the doctor I work for is the president. It's about a half hour away, and I leave straight from work, so I may not be around much tonight. I'll catch up this weekend if not before.

Have a great rest of your day~

Thinking of you all

(((Hugs)))

It sounds like very important meeting. Good luck with that!

Good Morning! It's a beautiful morning around these parts, supposed to get some rain later on today. Yesterday, phase 2 of the construction wrapped up on my house: whew, this one was the biggest portion of the scheduled three....sort of glad that's all done. It looks wonderful! The contractors did a fantastic job and the contractor that I hired to be the GC, did a fantastic job of keeping all the sub-contractors on schedule and on budget...

I'm going to take a break from all the big construction for about a month and then phase 3 will commence sometime around July 1. This will be the fit-up of the basement. In the next few weeks, I'll spend that time, sealing up the basement, doing some preliminary electric work, dry-locking all of the floors and concrete walls, etc... My goal is to be completely done before the beginning of the Fall, so I can move my grandfather in with me before winter.

I'm a busy bee around and inside the house, now that good weather is upon us, I'm jumping on all sorts of tasks and banging them out... No grass or mold is growing under my feet....
It is beautiful outside this time of year, just the other night, I went outside at dusk on my back deck and there was about 30 deer grazing on my lower property. I just sat there and watched them until it was too dark to see them any longer: my kind of life~

Well it's "Hump Day"...Looks like a trip to the Pines may be in order for tonight....

Congrats on getting the 2nd phase of the construction done!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Even though school is out, it's still been a busy week. We've had rehearsals for the new play Elizabeth is in, Oliver, and Jacob has been interviewing for a band that his guitar instructor sponsors. Nancy goes back to Statesboro this evening with both of them, but I have some work to do around home.

Elizabeth actually has a singing part this time, not just dancing, so she is super excited. Now, she not only dances through the house all day, she sings while doing it LOL!

In other news, the pool is finally crystal clear. THAT was a lot of work. I'm surely going to cover it this winter.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Wow - how exciting for Elizabeth! She sounds so talented. She must be so excited. Good luck to Jacob in the interview process.

Working while listening to an album Jacob had.

Have any of you ever listened to the Goo Goo Dolls? I'm really liking this!

Really liked the Goo Goo Dolls growing up!

Good Evening, Everyone!!!!! Mom's appointment went good. Her blood level was still in the good range so she gets to go a week and a half before going back this time. Thankfully the storms let up for us to get home but they just started back up again. I won't complain though. Mother Nature needs to get it all out of her system before the parade and race this weekend. I'll see everyone at the Pines!!!!!!

I'm so glad all went well with the appointment and that you made it home safe!

Thank you, Meceka!!
Yes we are so weather twins!!
Hope you had a beautiful day, too!
Adi made it home safely, thanks for keeping him in your thoughts!
Little Peanut & I are sending you guys big (((hugs)))!!

It was a beautiful day, thank you! I'm so glad Adi made it home safe! {{{HUGS}}} back for you and Harlowe!

great news about your mom, I pray she continues to improve.

we are still waiting for that storm to get here, still under a severe thunderstorm watch.
The farmers here are behind on getting crops in because of all this rain.

I hope the farmers in your area get their crops in soon! Not too many farm fields have been planted here, either. The field on the other side of my woods still has a lot of water on the surface, but the guy that plants that acreage usually plants later than other local farms.

Good evening, guys. Sorry I didn't reply to very many of the posts, but I'm pretty tired tonight. I'm going to try and lay down here and get a nap in. I hope you're all having a great day and have a Happy Pines Day! Ttyt!

Good 'Pines Day morning, everyone!

I thought it was about time I come and pay a visit. It's been yet another fairly busy month of teaching. Currently, I am teaching in Rockland, ON for the week. It's a little different than where I normally teach (Russell, ON), but it is a welcome change. My schedule is fairy simple, too. At least, it has been for the past two days. I only have one class to teach per day and the other two periods, I am in the Student Success Centre, just helping students complete their homework and other assignments. Not bad!

Glad to see that everyone is doing all right around these parts. The posts are flying and so are the days! That 200-day milestone until Christmas is two weeks from Friday, and the fact that we are now over the 1/2 way to the Christmas Season is incredible!

Speaking of incredible, Spring has finally arrived in Ottawa. Temperatures are to reach the mid 20s/70s today. The floweres are in full bloom and the leaves are finally full and a beautiful bright green. In fact, some might say we entirely skipper Spring and just went straight to Summer. I can agree with that.

Not a whole lot else going on. There are about 20 days of class remaining. Normally, I would be excited have the summer off, but I think I need to search for some source of income for the summer. Employment Insurance - more than likely - will not pay me enough, especially since I have a big summer vacation booked in August.

Have a great 'Pines Day, everyone! After all, there is only one more in this month of May! Before we know it, we will be turning our calendars once again!

Good to see you, Brent! Glad to hear everything is going so well for you. Hoping you can find a job for over the summer.

Thank you, it's kind of you to say that!

Mr. had the laser procedure today, and it seems to have gone well. They don't really make any guarantees that his vision will improve, but at least the tear in the retina is repaired. The doctor let us know that once this happens, it could happen again, or occur in the other eye, at any time---"because your other eye is the same age." Not so encouraging, but that's life as you get a bit older. I don't think of us as being so very old, but when you run into something like this, you start to feel old anyway.

At least we got to the ball game. But it was a dud. The Sox lost 6 to 4. It was 5 to 1 when we left during the 5th. They sure aren't the team they were last year. And the prices! Two sodas, chicken tenders with fries, and a burger with fries, $37.50! Five bucks for a 20-oz bottle of soda, $4.25 for a bag of popcorn! You gotta love Fenway Park to pay for all that plus your tickets and the train.

I'm so glad the procedure went well! I will keep Mr. in my prayers, Merry! You, too! {{{HUGS}}}

I am going to read awhile. I started a new (to me) book, Burn Factor by Kyle Mills ; and I will continue with the Jo Nesbo book. We have another dinner meeting tomorrow evening, and we will be heading to Madera to attend our nephew's high school graduation this weekend. TTYL

Congratulations to your nephew on his graduation!

I saw messages on the news about some damage being done but it always could be much worse.

Morning! Hope your day is well too. :]

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is well. We are approaching the end of another workweek so make some coffee and hold on until the weekend. ^^ I've just checked in online for my flight to Lithuania next Thursday. Going home in a week. So excited! I am now trying to call my mum to congratulate her on her birthday but she is not picking up. I bet her phone is on silent mode while she is at work. Oh well.

Have a lovely day, and best wishes!

Happy Birthday to your mum! How exciting that you are going home in a week ~ may you have safe travels and an amazing and restful vacation! Have a MERRY day, Victoria!

Good morning!
We are expecting rain showers over the next three days with temperatures in the mid to lower 60's. It still looks like it will clear up and be nice for Sunday and Monday so at least the long weekend won't be a wash out.
I have to head out for an appointment later this morning, then back home to work on my daily chores. I'm also still working on a menu plan for our Memorial Day barbeque, so I may look up some new recipes later this afternoon. Not too much else going on for me today.
My husband told me the kitchen cabinets are finally at the finisher. He has been swamped at work for the past couple of weeks and had to put our kitchen on the back burner. So I was happy to hear we are moving in the right direction again. This has been the longest project ever!!!
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

I'm glad that your kitchen remodel is back on track! Did the ducks show up today? Hope you are having a MERRY day, HmG!
