Good morning!
Just popping in quick to say hello. I am heading to the supermarket in a few minutes, I have a list of things that we need. My oldest has a very bad sore throat again. I have to call the doctor when they open and get her in there asap. I'm also going to make another appointment with the ENT. They keep telling us to wait to have her tonsils taken out but I think it's time. And if she's going to do it then the summer would be a good time since school is out. And my middle one has an appointment for a routine cleaning at the dentist later this morning. I also have to go to the mall with my youngest later this afternoon. I'm hoping to wrap up Fathers Day shopping while I'm there. It's going to be one of those crazy busy days!
I'll try and catch up here later, I hope everyone has a great day!

Well, at 1:00 today, my son's flight is supposed to arrive in Baltimore at BWI airport. He's been at Sheppard Air Force Base, for just about 3 months now, so, needless to say, I cannot wait to see him later this afternoon; I've missed him.

Lisa is preparing a really nice home cooked dinner for him tonight, I got his car all prepped and ready for his return and his bedroom is spotless. He will be stationed in Baltimore County on active duty for another 3 more months and then he should be switched back to an Air National Guard status (weekend warrior).

This is such a nice post to read. It sounds like a wonderful homecoming for a very special son. Thanks to him for his service and sacrifice.

Good evening!
Holy moly, what a day.
I did some food shopping. Went to the doctor with my oldest. Went to a dentist appointment with my middle one. Took my youngest to a boutique on the other side of the island for a dress that she needed. Went to CVS. Went to Rite Aid 4 times. Yes, 4 times. Still managed to do my chores and get dinner on the table. Vacuumed up the dust my husband was making while working in the kitchen this evening. Took care of the cats and dogs in between. And I've had a headache all day. Grrr.
My daughter is in so much pain with her throat again. I feel so bad for her. I've been in and out of her room a million times bringing hot tea, motrin, tylenol, ginger ale, ice pops, etc! She's not getting any relief. The ENT said they can't see her until the 20th. I really wanted him to see her while she was sick so he could see how bad she gets. It's frustrating how long it takes to get an appointment.
I'm going to turn in soon and try to get some rest. Thankfully my husband is doing some electrical work now so he's being pretty quiet.

Hope your girl is on the upswing. I know it's frustrating when the sore throats are chronic. I had that situation with my youngest son and he did have his tonsils out in high school which helped tremendously.

One more Gracie picture just b/c this cracked me up. Sunday morning when it was raining at the lake I was watching "Hotel For Dogs" on tv. I had the surround sound on & the dogs barking through the speakers was about making her crazy....then she found them on tv, so she decided to watch!



What a dog! :lol:

So cute! Ella does this too. She sometimes even barks back at the TV!

Morning! Had a little bit of excitement here yesterday...there was a guy the police was chasing and he was armed. He was on foot and in our neighborhood. I was unloading some groceries when I looked out the window and saw a cop running down the street with his gun pulled. Five minutes later, I saw him running back the other direction with his gun pulled. This told me he was chasing someone, but he didn't know where he was! After looking out other windows and seeing a large number of officers in my area, I figured it best to lock the doors. However, they caught him in my neighbors back yard about 30 minutes later. Whew is all I can say!

Not much on tap for today. I do have to write a couple of papers for a program I'm trying to get into, but I just plan on spending a couple of hours a day working on that for the rest of my vacation. Other than that, I'm just going to play around!

so much for day off, change of plans, I get to work instead, which is a good thing because I really wanted some extra hours. Of course mom and my daughter and not happy because we were going to Kitchener for the day.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Jacob is still at church camp in Charleston, and we took Elizabeth to play practice last night. While we were waiting, we went by Lowe's and Wal-Mart, and I messed around and bought a new grill. My last one finally gave up last year, after standing under a pecan tree for several years.

This time I bought a stainless steel grill with a cast iron grate inside. Maybe if I put it on the pool deck (out from under a tree) and keep the cover over it, it'll last us a while.

Mmmm, I can taste those grilled turkey dogs and veggie burgers now. LOL

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's pouring here right now and it looks like it will keep doing it off and on all day. It's pretty humid out there too. I've been getting my work done around the house this morning and now I'm trying to do some research on the computer before we go to mom's doctor's appointment this afternoon. Then I have to go by my sister's house. Both of my niece's lost a tooth last night during dinner so they want to show off their smiles. LOL!!!!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Under a tornado watch here...tornado did touch down in the county beside us. Storm is moving 20 mph. Nasty storms surrounding us. It's going to be a good night to stay in! Storm isn't too far away from the southern part of our county, which is where my parents. Looks like it should head east, according to the Doppler, but we have a nasty severe storm heading our way.

Praying the storms aren't too bad Sugar, stay safe xx

Some companies are just stupid.

I ordered a Seattle Seahawks lamp for my nephews birthday from Lowes. I ordered it way back on the 27th of may. The estimated arrival date was the 31st. I didn't get the email that it was being shipped until the 2nd. Which was fine. That still gave it a week and the estimated arrival date was the same day. So i figured that it was being shipped from somewhere close. Well his party was Saturday and it still hadn't got there. So I checked online and it showed that it was shipped from Alabama. So I figured maybe it would get there yesterday on his actual birthday. Still didn't show up. So I called about it today. It's back ordered until July 21st!!!!! Umm, hello!!!! How did I get an email that it was shipped then!!! Needless to say, I canceled the order. Now I have to get something else sent to him.

Sorry to hear this, buddy. Hope you were able to figure out something else for his birthday.
