Well, maybe not so good. The area where our cottage is took a near direct hit from Hurricane Arthur last night. We will be following up to check on damage.

In the meantime:
Days to the Season: 132
Days to Christmas Day: 174

TOMORROW will see us down to SINGLE DIGITS to the two-thirds Milestone to Christmas Season 2014.

Well, for all the stormy weather at the coast, it's been pretty mild here.
Had a brief hard wind yesterday afternoon that brought down some pine cones and small branches but all in all, not bad.
We have started our Independence Day holiday at 74 degrees here in the capital city.

Oh my goodness, I'm nodding off already. The fireworks are still going strong but I'm going to take the dogs to bed and see if they'll stay with me. Enjoy the rest of your evening!

Good evening, Happy 4th of July!!


Happy birthday, MerryCarey!

It was one of those days that what could go wrong did go wrong for a good portion. Getting woken up early because of the boys slamming their doors, the bottom of my grill just collapsing while warming up with a group of hungry people here. We were able to get it to cook, but I now need a new grill to replace my grill that is all of 3 years old! It did hold off raining through the parade, but it did start pouring on the walk home. I do work in the morning, I am sure it is going to be a rough day.

I am exhausted tonight, I will retire for the evening.

Well folks. I gotta be at the doctor's office with mom first thing in the morning. So I'm going to get off of here and relax for awhile before hopefully going to sleep a little earlier than my normal 3am. I hope you all had a great 4th of July!!!!!

Cookout was a success...and I went 11-4 in horseshoes! Woot, woot!
