Good morning MMC! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE!!! (In July) What a beautiful day! A high of 75º is predicted for today!!! Sunshine, breeze....why am I inside again??

The race was a lot of fun last night! It got COLD though! Crazy weather! Crawled in bed around 11:45 - that's the earliest I've been to bed all week! Hoping to crawl in much earlier tonight! I'm sleepy today! I had popcorn at Eldora last night - it's still the best! :smile:
Tonight I need to make egg nog & smokehouse spaghetti for our Christmas in July party on Saturday. They are calling for rain though - hope that's wrong!

Hey Holiday! We did have a lot of fun, thanks. We ended up not going to the movies. When DH and I said about taking them, the kids said they wanted to stay home and play! I'm planning on making a chocolate zucchini bread, with a zucchini from my garden, this afternoon, so the kids are excited to help me with that. We're watching a movie right now. They're having a blast just being together!

I love those!

We got ours from here---they sell six volumes as DVD-Rs or downloads.

They're good, mindless fun. They also include other "stage waits," like commercials for local businesses, holiday trailers, trailers for special events like all-night shows or fireworks nights, and so forth. But they DO make you hungry for popcorn, soda, hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream, and candy, so they aren't for every day!

Good morning!
I'm taking a break from the dorm shopping today but it's still going to be a busy day. My middle daughter and I are going to look at a school that she is interested in. It's actually the same school her older sister looked at a couple of weeks ago. I wish she would have come with us then, it would have saved me from making the trip twice. Anyway, the dogs also have a groomer appointment this afternoon and I have a couple of other errands I have to take care of. And of course I'll be working on my daily chores when I find the time!

Good morning everyone!

Well, dad may go home from the hospital today. He is excited...he wants to get home to his dogs...and his good tv with netflix. Even when he has been out of it he has realized the hospital tv isn't any good. it's been a sore spot with him.

His wish was to go home again and it looks like he will so we are excited.

Good morning! Whewww, we dodged a bullet last night, we sat back on the porch last night and watched those wicked thunderstorms, just blow over our house and they hit East of us. So we only got just a little bit of rain out of it. There was some pretty wicked lighting with that storm that we saw on the horizon that gave it a neat show from our perspective.

Not much happening here with me today, I'm in between projects, so it should be a pretty quiet day today before I head to DC tomorrow morning. Have to look at a job at the ATF headquarters in DC tomorrow morning, then it's back to the office and hopefully an early weekend.

tonight, we have appointments to go back for a 2nd showing at two homes that we are interested in, tonight we are taking the kids with us for their opinion, see what happens....

Sometimes data can be recovered from a dead laptop---you may want to check with a repair shop to see if your music and bookmarks can be recovered before you consider them lost. I hope yours can!

MerryCarey is right! Sorry Xmas - I didn't see your post last night about this. My sister's laptop did this last year and she was able to get her songs, pictures, etc. back. It's worth a shot.

Yesterday was such a hot day! We just had sandwiches and chips for dinner. We watched an old VHS tape we have of "intermissions"---things they used to play at the movies and drive-ins between movies to get people to buy popcorn, soda, and other snacks. (Have you heard the Internet term "food porn"? I think those were the FIRST food porn!) After that, I had to get up and make popcorn! And it was goo-ood, too.

Should be a quiet day at the office. Only three of us in here; the rest are at an offsite meeting. I'm covering the phones and the front desk, and two others are getting some work done while it's quiet. It's a nice change! I brought my laptop so I can work on Christmas shopping lists and such. (The people who generate the stuff I proofread are out today.)

Ohhhh yes, there's nothing like walking into the house from being outside on a cool day/ evening, and being greeted with those wonderful aroma's of cookies, pies and or cakes baking, soups or the crockpot cooking or something good baking in the oven...
