Oh, my word, HMG! How heavenly! We will have a big island like that that is across from our stove, too. We will have a regular sink there, and the dishwasher will also be housed in the island. Hubby already has the "outline" for the pony wall. On the back of the island (where your baby is [your cat]), we will have about eight evenly-spaced outlets for all the crockpots I use during Thanksgiving. The sink will be on the south side and the TV will be on the north wall--I'll be able to watch TV while I use the sink. The size of the room will require a 70- or 80-inch screen. We already have the hood for the stove, and it is huge! We will also have the red knobs, so We have been slowly adding equipment and "stuff" in red. The pendulum lights have some red and turquoise in them (sort of a retro/60s/modern cut glass look). The appliances will be stainless. We have already bought some red small appliances such as toaster, can opener, crockpot, and some cooking utensils in red. We plan on having subway tile as the back splash. The stove will have a stainless back splash. Because of the placement of the sink, we decided against having a water spigot at the stove. We've never had one, so I don't think we will miss it! We are still making decisions on counter top colors and floor coverings--one day at a time! I know how hard your husband is working and understand the time issue! Add to that the monsoons and other weather-related problems. I sure hope these problems don't add any more stress! It seems that remodeling has its own set of problems and stress! Take care and BOTH of you get some rest!

Thanks Seawaters!
Ok I know it looks like I keep posting the same picture but I took these after the counter tops were installed. We're getting there, slowly but surely. I think the backsplash will be next. Just have to pick the tile out.

He always says that he can't find the right stickers to put on the entry form. So he needs someone with better eyes. LOL!!!

Evening everyone! I hope you had a great day. :] I also hope that my lazy days are going to an end because I am getting tired of being around the house. :/ I hate when any type of plans get cancelled 'cause I am then left with last-minute-attempt-to-save-the-day usually not working out.
Oh, well. I wish tomorrow will be better.
Best wishes!

I remember talking about lunch there. I think you sent pics, too, or did you post a website? I think you told us about a great salad that was so filling. I really hope we can meet for lunch one day!

Yes, I did send you a link to the restaurant. I hope we can meet up for lunch some time too!!!

Oh my oh my...that is a fabulous kitchen.
Beautiful design details...enjoy, you deserve it!

after all my complaining about Facebook yesterday, a girl I graduated with just posted a bunch of high school pictures. It was great (or should I say groovy?) to see all those faces again!

Ok, maybe Facebook ain't the devil, after all.
