I was up at 5 this morning..
Had to get something HOT to drink

Weather here is rain, rain, rain and 44 to 50 F

Well, Im in the middle of making dinner,
so I have to go back to my kitchen...

Hope you are all doing well! Cannot believe that summer has flown by so quickly..I am looking forward to the fall and my kids start school next week so that is a good thing. Get them back in that routine.

It wont be long now. The guy that sits near me at work, well his wife is a school teacher and she had to report to work yesterday, I guess to start to getting things ready.

Good afternoon all. Well our only child is now off to college. We moved him this past weekend. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done. He is only a 3 hour drive away but it seems like the other side of the world. The house seems like a morgue.

The good news is I can now join in on the countdown. It had been very depressing as the countdown meant we were closer to Ethan leaving for college. The Christmas season will be extra special this year. He will be home 5 days for Thanksgiving and almost the whole month of December. I look forward to again being part of the countdown.

One appointment down and one to go. The neurologist is this afternoon. He uses the same doctors office as the podiatrist that did mom's two foot surgeries. So this waiting room doesn't bring back the best of memories. LOL!!!

Congratulations! Now you can rest easy for a while, at least until it is time to move. Would love to see pictures. Glad your wife got her dream house!

Well, after a month of negotiations with the people of this house we put a contract on, we finally came to an agreement on the price of a home and the homeowners have agreed/ accepted our final and last terms/ offer; as of 5 minutes ago..... Which means....... WE GOT THE HOUSE!!!!!!

It will be official once we sign the paperwork tonight! Thank you everyone for all of your support that you have given to us during this whole process.......

I'm so happy, so very happy..... not for myself as per say, but mostly, it is because it was the house of my wife's dream and I'm happy that she's happy~

Good afternoon MMC! I'm sad to say I haven't had a chance to catch up on here! Good news is I have been home more than I have been at work today. This morning our contractors showed up at the same time our lumber was delivered. At lunch they were cutting the hole through our wall - at least outside. Our basement was like a dust bowl! And we have floor joists in the new room. Then our cabinets showed up. They were unloading them as I was leaving to come back to work AND also the heating & cooling guy is there. Our street is FULL of contractor trucks & trailers. LOL! Busy day! I have made 2 trips home already & I'm hoping to sneak out of here early too!!!

I am finally feeling better this morning! When Wayne and I went to the Cowboys game Saturday night I was starving. With my food allergies there is not really much I can eat there but I settled on splitting some Ultimate Nachos with Wayne. Huge mistake! I am allergic to dairy and it was loaded with cheese. It knocked me down for 2 days - sluggish, sick to my stomach and all that fun stuff. All day at work Sunday was the pits and still felt the ill effects of it yesterday. I don't drink and I felt like I had one heck of a hangover!

The food is not cheap at the stadium so that was one expensive allergy attack! Those nachos did taste really good though! :lol:

No matter what, we had a lot of fun at the game even though the Cowboys lost and I got sick!!!

Oh my goodness, that is not fun. I have been glutened on a couple of occasions after eating out. I assume it was from cross contamination since I am very strict about eating gluten free. I felt like I had the flu for a couple of days, it's just awful. I'm so glad you're feeling better (((hugs)))

Not much to report today. I'm doubling down on my effort here at work since I'll be out for a couple days. There are some things that MUST get done this week, or so I'm told.

Mom has an appointment with one specialist this morning and then another one this afternoon. I'm pretty sure I already know what both will say but I've been surprised before. So we will see. Well, we will be glad to have you back. I hope you guys can adjust well to Ethan being gone! It will be November before we know it! Hope he loves his time at college. Our next door neighbor just brought their youngest (and only daughter) to college last week. He says that was worse than bringing their 1st child. (They have 4) Hang in there!
