Christmas Countdown - 2014

Once again, thank you all.

It was a rough day today, lots of tears shed. The wake and funeral won't be until Sunday & Monday. My grandfather is struggling, he has said he wished it was him that went first. He stayed with my grandmother all day yesterday holding her hand the whole day while she was in a coma, he didn't get up once, even to use the restroom. I am at such a loss right now.

My sister will be coming in on Friday, it has been a few years since we've seen her. I just wish it was under different circumstances.

Take care during those storms, Meceka. We have had a couple weird storms this year, but normally we don't have them here.

Thank you, Seawaters! It has been a cooler than normal summer here with a lot of precipitation. The bad storms have all been just a bit north of where I live or quite a ways south. It looks scary from the windows, but I am in the woods and it is hard to judge how far away or even what direction the storms are travelling. They sure sound scary, too! Poor Palmer is petrified of them ~ even a slight downpour will send her hiding, so I log off the internet and wrap up whatever I am doing so that I can reassure her.

Good Morning, MMC!!! It's going to be a hot, stormy day here with a good chance of finally breaking that 90 degree mark for the first time this summer. Boo!! Nothing to big on the agenda today. Just staying inside this morning and then I may have to take mom to get her ultrasound this afternoon if my sister can't go with her. I just have to wait and see. I should probably try to get some sleep too. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!

I hope everyone is doing well!

Finally was able to get rid of some stuff out of the freezer ~ today was trash pick-up day in the neighborhood. The odd thing is that a lot of stuff is still frozen solid ~ remarkable. It is going on over 4 days and it isn't messy at all! Yay!

I have been binge-watching Season One of Ally McBeal. I saw bits and pieces of a few of the episodes as one of my college roommates would watch the show religiously every Monday night, but overall it is new to me. I'm really liking it. I have the Ally McBeal Christmas CD, which I absolutely love (a few of the songs made it on the hours I did for Santa Tracking last year!), so when I saw the first two seasons at a garage sale a few years ago, I had to have them. Anyhow, after a few chores and washing the clay mask I forgot I had on off my face, I will be watching a few more episodes.

Thanks for the prayers for mom everyone!!! The biopsy's they did tuesday came back clean and while the ultrasound today showed a few things they don't like, it's not worth the risk of doing anything about because of her history of strokes. So for now, they are just going to watch unless things get worse.

I've heard the same thing. I am at the very end of the line and the signal gets to weak by the time it reaches me sometimes and I start losing tv channels. Luckily it's never effected my phone or internet yet. I installed a signal booster to help with it but it still happens sometimes.
