Good Morning, graywolf!
Good luck with your work today. Hope it all goes smoothly!
Enjoy your family dinner~ Happy Birthday to Bud!!
Enjoy sweet Moose's nap =] Love watching them sleep!
Have a wonderful day!
Thanks Snowflake!! :-) Hope you have a great day too! :-)

I have no idea why, but every time I see your handle I am overwhelmed by the desire to shout out, "Snow FlaaAAAKE," like how the camel said, "Hump DaAAAY," in the Geico commercial from last year. Nope, no clue, just there it is in my head, every time.

Ahhh, good Sunday morning! The cool temps are back with a nice breeze. It's heavenly! I got all of my fall decorating done yesterday and did most of the outside today. Have to wait for my gourds to finish growing and get the rest of my corn stalks from my grandparents. And of course, get some pumpkins and mums!! It just looks so cheerful and nice in my house. As we were decorating yesterday, Jude kept commenting on how cozy fall was and how much he loved being at home in the fall. I am so glad my kids appreciate the little things like fall decorations and scents!

The hubby has the boys outside riding skateboards and scooters and I am drinking some more coffee, relaxing! Our town has "bike night" once a year, a big motorcycle show, and it was cancelled last night due to storms so it's happening today. It makes driving impossible so we are just staying home today. Enjoy your day!

Good Morning, judesmama!!

I bet your home looks beautiful!! It's wonderful that Jude loves the decorations and scents of the season, that will stick with him forever.
I think my love for the seasons is a direct result of my Mom's influence, too. And you seem like an amazing Mom!!

Hope you guys have a beautiful day!!

:pumpkin:

Good morning all! Hope everyone has a great day!

I have to work on websites and shopping carts and go get my husband's replacement phone, then meet my parents for dinner and their and Bud's favorite restaurant to celebrate his birthday from last weekend. Will be the first one we celebrate without our son present. Super weird, but by the time Noah gets back, Bud will be on tour again.

Right now I'm trapped in a recliner with a Moose in my lap. Oh woe is me, the shopping cart will have to wait till Moose's nap is over. Boohoo... *sniffle* [emoji316] [emoji319]

Good Luck with all of the work and enjoy the dinner!!!! Happy Birthday to Bud!!!!!

Good morning! Hope everyone is ready to enjoy a beautiful day! I've got some yard work that I need to do, but then I'm going to hang out and watch some football.

Hard to believe that we are so close to Sept. 16 (100 days). Where has the year gone? I enjoy certain things about each part of the year, so I don't like to rush it. But I sure do enjoy the 'Bers the most. It's awesome.

Well, I gotta go get some food laid out for tonight and begin preparing for the week. Have a blessed day, friends!

Enjoy your day, Friend!!!!!

Good Morning fellow Christmas Lovers!!!! after suffering through the hottest week of the summer it was nice to get up this morning and shut the AC off again and open windows. Nice cool breeze blowing outside ....

My thoughts this weekend have been completely Christmas related :) Thinking of a lot of ideas for gifts, decorating and baking. Need to start updating my Christmas notebook cause crunch time is coming. DH and I were talking yesterday how we want to be completely done decorating by Dec 1st and gift shopping by the 1st weekend in Dec.

Going to spend the day at a community festival ... rides, food, games and fireworks tonight ....

Hope everyone has a great day!!!!

Have fun at the festival!!!!!!

Good Morning, friends~

It is going to be another beautiful day here. It is 52 degrees currently, with a high of 75 and sunshine today.

We plan to relax and grill out this evening. What are your plans?

Wishing you a blessed day with your loved ones!

Work is my plan! :D

Welcome, Friend!!!!!

Thanks, Buddy!!!!

Yes, I am!!!!! Go Broncolts!!!!!!

(I can root for both teams if they are playing each other?)

That sounds like a nice new name! Ha ha!

Let's see, Cowvens? Ravboys? Hmmm.... Broncolts sounds better. Ha ha!

I was like that when Wayne and I went to see the Cowboys play the Ravens last month. Even though the boys lost I was thrilled for Wayne's team to win. Since it was pre-season didn't count anyway. =)

Good Morning, Friends.

Onward we progress through the first weekend of September and through our ever-declining count.

Today's numbers:
Days to the Season: 67
Days to Christmas Day: 109

And there you have it -- SINGLE DIGITS to the 100-day Christmas Day Window!
(My oh my has time passed. Such a short time now until a double-double-digit count begins.)

Single digits to 100?! Wow, Crown! Everything is coming so quickly. Can't wait for our milestone celebration next week!

I ended up feeling better so I went with my mom to see Aretha Franklin. It was so nice to see the look on my mom's face when Aretha came out on the stage, she actually had some tears of joy streaming down her face. She has been a life long fan of hers and always wanted to see her in concert so I am glad that Wayne, my dad and I made it happen and surprised her with the tickets for her birthday. We all know Aretha has a dynamic voice but WOW, she sounds amazing live! Her voice gave me the chills. What a performer! My mom has only been to 2 concerts in her life, Bob Dylan and BB King and that was back in the 60's. She has not been to a concert since. After it was over I told my mom, "Okay, Tina Turner next"! Ha ha! Only problem is, Tina retired from touring but I have seen many other artist "retire" then return.

Sure enough, I had a text "argument" with my boss last night. Lol! I text to tell him I am feeling better and going to the concert, that I can make it to work today. He text back and told me to rest since I will be going out he figured I am doing too much. Then he offered for me to work half day. Okay.... Just as I am typing this to you, I just had to pause to read a text from him now. He is offering a last chance for me to take the day off if I need it. He is just too sweet - they are all too sweet up there! I have had some health issues going on and they worry about me doing too much. I told him I will be there!

Read everything but don't have time to reply to it all. So happy to hear about all your pre-Christmas and Fall plans and decorating. Sounds like most of us are getting some cooler weather.

Take care everyone and have a Merry Day!!!

Good morning, everyone!

It's a beautiful sunny Sunday in Cornwall. It should be an easy drive back to Ottawa.

The wedding yesterday was perfect. The rain held off and the clouds remained solely for overcast. There were some funny speeches and delicious food. I had a great time. The bride looked beautiful and Kim didn't look too bad as the maid of honour. :)

Happy Sunday morning, y'all!

About 10 degrees cooler than yesterday and a lot less humid, with an occasional breeze. Nice! High temps tomorrow "near 70"---even nicer!

Yesterday somehow turned into a movie day. I saw four movies (three with Mr.), all between 1930 and 1944. Three of them were pretty gritty and low-down, the other was a frothy wartime musical that featured Irene Ryan a good two decades before she was Granny Clampett.

No special plans today, except my Sunday morning tea with British TV. Until Downton Abbey comes back in January I'm watching Mr. Selfridge and recapping Season 4 episodes of Downton Abbey.

This seems to be the season for DVD and Blu-ray boxed sets. We've jumped at a few bargains lately on complete seasons. Don't know where we're going to put them all! But it's fun to watch an episode or two each night. Mostly stuff from the 1950s through the 1970s.

Enough about me, already!

CAH, how did last night go? I was hoping you would feel good enough to go to the concert with your mom. I hope you're much better today.

(Oops, answered above while I was composing my posts!)

Glad that you guys had a lovely time at the wedding!
Have a safe drive home, and a great Sunday!

I figured to make this a separate post...

I was notified yesterday by my brother that my mom's husband Bruce's brother had a massive heart attack yesterday morning at his home near Atlanta, GA, and ultimately passed away. He was only 56. Kim and I just saw Glen last summer in Ottawa. He was always in a positive mood and definitely made you smile with kindness and his inherited southern drawl that he developed over the past 15 years.

Sad stuff. I don't like talking about these things too much but I know that you, friends, always help make everything better. I will be fine. Please send all your thoughts amd everything to Bruce and his family. He's had a rough time in the past five years or so. He lost his dad, mom, and now brother. His entire immediate family is now together elsewhere. Bruce also doesn't have any kids. Poor guy.

Again, thanks for everything, friends.

Sounds like a great night! My dad saw Aretha in the early 80s and he maintains that she had the best voice he has ever heard. Happy you experienced it with your mom, CAH!
