Merry Morning! Happy last Pines Day in September!!!! I wonder if the Blossoms thread will open tonight. I wish I had some photos of the shops here to post but they are against people taking photos.

Mister Festive is not well. I guess last week was just the start. He has been going into work though-poor thing. I hope I am not next.

Really cool yesterday! Never out of the low 60's, and it was damp and overcast. Light evening rain, too. Not really very nice, all and all.
A repeat is predicted for today, then warmer temps for the balance of the week.
We stand just below 58 degrees here in the capital city at this hour.

When you go there, eat at Mountain Gate---they have a good buffet.
I grew up not far from Thurmont. When the President went to Camp David, the helicopters used to fly over our town. Oddly enough, though, I never went to the Colorfest.

Ohhhh, I just love a good buffet....

It can get ugly real quick, if I'm left alone without supervision.....

I signed in here yesterday and posted on a few threads, never made it in the Countdown because I got really sick! My son-in-law was so sweet and bought me some 7 Up and some healthy snacks. I never drink soda but when I get real sick to my stomach water doesn't taste too good and that 7 Up was tasty and settled my stomach a lot. Hoping for a better day today because it's not fun to stay in bed all day long.

The funny part of all this is before my mom knew I was sick she asked if I wanted to go out for Mexican food, her treat! No thank you! That would have been the worse thing to put on a upset tummy! That was a nice offer though!

We will remain in the lower to mid 80's this week then the temps will climb into the lower 90's next week. Nooooo!!!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Wow, it's really cool outside this morning! It was 58° when I got to work. Nice! I went outside to walk the block at 6:15 this morning, and I almost went back in for long pants. Nice again!

Nancy's mom found some fresh corn yesterday, so we had supper at their house last night. Fresh corn, fresh green beans and rotisserie chicken. Ahhh.

Just doing a quick pop-in as I head to work in a few minutes. It looks like I will be working a few hours earlier on Wednesdays instead of working until after 9pm. I like that so much better, I get to say goodnight to the boys now. It will be better driving home during the Christmas season, I will probably get to see more lights on.

Indeed, it is here again. We must be super close to a milestone because I woke up to quite the magical dream this morning. I don't exactly recall where I was, but all I could hear was "Walking In a Winter Wonderland," being sung and very much enjoying myself. Yes, we are indeed so close to the 3/4 mark to Christmas that I can hear the magical sounds in my sleep.

I can't wait for tomorrow when Andy Williams plays throughout ringing the magical cheer of Christmas Blossoming all around us.

Back to work. Have a great Pines Day, everyone. We are nearly halfway to the weekend!

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump Day, Happy Pines Day!!!! It's another beautiful, cooler morning! Was 48º for our morning walk!

We had a busy night at our house last night. Our door guy was over & all interior doors are in. Our electrician friend & his son were over working, our masonry contractor (our neighbor) was over - he is going to start on the brick tomorrow &/or Friday. Our plasterer was over, he is going to start mudding our new room today! Wew! Git 'r done!

I got all the onion, pepper, garlic & tomatoes chopped for a pot of chili. I'm going to make it tonight for my brothers party on Sunday. We are having a "chili dump" Looking fwd to the weekend!

Hi everyone! Hope you all are well.
It somehow feels like Friday to me. Probably because my lectures for the week have already finished (I love my timetable this year). Anyway, I've already got some tasks to do for next week so I plan to work on those and then start by background research for assessments. However I have to get myself to the driving school tomorrow because I've been thinking that it's the time for me to get a driver's license. I'm not a fan of the idea but oh, well, I would still need to get one sooner or later.
I feel like crap today (yes, I said the bad word, sorry) so I'm going to bed early tonight. It's one of those days when I want to stay away from everyone. It's been happening quite often lately so I guess I need to seriously start doing something about it.
Anyway, sending best wishes to all. It's a midweek, so stay strong, weekend is on its way. ^^
