It really just depends where you go. The south and north sides are booming. The far west side is booming. The near west side and the east side are just going down hill though. With Sears closing, that leaves target and Dick's Sporting goods as the only 2 big name stores left in the mall on this side of town. They just took what use to be Macy's, and turned it into a flea market. Another whole wing of it has been rented out by a church. It use to be the biggest mall in town.

Well the 20-year career of one of the greatest Yankees of all time is over. Derek Jeter was just pulled after getting an RBI single, his final hit in his final game in baseball.

An amazing cheer and chant from the crowd up in Boston at Fenway. I got chills. Very cool all around, and very classy by the Red Sox and their fans.

What a great 20 years, going to be weird next year.

It's been 4 days since I have been on MMC. The school had homecoming this week (and I ultimately am responsible for the execution of homecoming events) and the Little Bambina's birthday and birthday party (they were on separate days) also occurred this week. Homecoming wrapped up Friday night at 10:30 with an unfortunate loss for my favorite high school team and I headed home to help out Doc. My wife, who is great in pressure situations, organized the birthday, but kept fine tuning everything until the absolute last minute when she said "Ok, now go take a shower. You stink." This was after going to bed at 2:30 Friday night and getting up at 6:00 am on Saturday morning. We worked on making it "perfect" until 1:30 (the party was at 2:00)....and it was perfect. My wife did such a good job organizing and having the party. Magical. Simply magical. Last night, when it was just the three of us, I realized how perfect it was....the party....and the after party....when it was just the three of us.

It was a great day.

I went to sleep at 8:00 pm and woke up at 8:05 am. Grabbed coffee, heading to my other home....here with you....where it's also perfect! To wrap up our night yesterday, Doc said "Well, I guess it's time to start shopping for Christmas."

Gosh, I love that girl.

Sorry to hear the kids lost, but I'm sorry homecoming was a great success.

Happy Birthday to Bambina! Sounds like the party was wonderful!

Hey there everybody, Hope everyone is having a good day today. It's kind of a hot one here today, it's around 86 degrees right now, but the weatherman says the temperatures are supposed to get back into the 70's for the rest of the week, which is more like normal for this time of year.

Been spending the day so far, splitting firewood and stacking it since 9:00 this morning. I'm a little beat, but my day isn't over yet, I got some more running yet to do and I have to go to the grocery store. After that, some more packing and then tomorrow is settlement day on the new house at 2:00pm.

Were starting to get a little excited, since we are down to under 24 hours and we will own another house. And then all the fun stuff starts happening...

Well I'm off and running, check back here in a little while~
