I saw some very pretty decor at Target that got me excited about decorating.
I love to see new things that inspire what I do each year around our house.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to start cooling down here today with a high in the mid 70's. Thursday night the real cold front arrives though. I have to head out to my aunts house today to get a lot of stuff done. There are some things going on with the family that I can't really talk about right now but if you guys could keep my sister and niece's in your prayers over the next couple of days I would appreciate it. I'll try to get back on tonight and catch up then. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't keep up with everything at home. If DH or DD have a complaint about it, they know to do something about it. (They never complain & they do help out sometimes!) I'm not killing myself to do it all. Someday DD will be out on her own, the house will be much neater, & there won't be as much laundry or as many dishes to do...I'm fine with a dusty, not dirty, house for now!

I don't know how women do it either, when I was a stay at home dad after LC was born it was the hardest thing I ever did. Trying to keep a toddler and an infant going to preschool, feeding them and so on. I was dead on my feet most nights when I worked a short shift.

I decided to say no, I don't want to take on any more hours right now. I'm sure it would have been way too much for me.

Hi folks, just wishing all here, a good day today....

Well, it's over, we settled yesterday on the house and everything went very well. I carried my Mrs over the threshold afterwards, when we stopped by there for the first time, as "our home". We started cleaning, going over everything, I replace a few burned out light bulbs, checked all the locks on the doors and windows and then we started carrying a few boxes into the house. We will be most likely do that, most every night this week, you know, stuff that we don't want the movers to move, some necessities and such~

It's kinda warm and humid here at the moment, but I am waiting with great expectations, for that really nice cold front to come rolling in here later this week, bringing with it some cooler Fall temperatures, You know, the kind of temperatures, where you want to throw on a flannel shirt, grab a mug of warm apple cider and watch the leaves fall.....

Well have a great day and I'll check in after I get back from the allergist office later on today!!!!

Good evening!

Oh my goodness, I feel like I only have time to say good morning & goodnight to all of you lately. I don't know how women work full time and still keep up with everything at home. I'm only working part time and its hectic.

I know just how you feel! I too have been very busy lately. My days are so full. Thanksgiving is only 2 weeks away and so much to do. This cake competition is just over 1 month away and so much to do. Christmas is only 85 days away and so much to do.
So if I do not answer all the posts or keep up very week know that I think of you all often and wish I could be here more!

It has been a beautiful warm fall so far here, Rained last night but going back to sunshine again for at least 2 more days.

Well, our weather took a nasty, wet turn yesterday with lots of off and on again rain and temps that never reached 70.
Another about face is predicted for today, however, and it is supposed to be dry and sunny.
(Good!)
We have begun this second day of the work week at 63 degrees here in central NC.

Sounds like I need to watch Hallmark tonight!!!! (After NCIS of course. LOL!!!!)

Our tree just got delivered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eeeeeeeeeeek!

I built it up to make sure all the parts are there. Very easy and quick to build with hinged branches. The pine is very realistic! I have not opened out the branches apart from a few to see what it's like. But I can tell it will be bushy and full.

It is up in the bedroom until I can show it to my eldest and Mr festive. Then I will have to put it away back in it's box.

Is it too early to put the tree up?? Hahahahaha

I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We saw the bicycles riding all around town! What a fun idea!! We would have rented them at the end of the canal walk to ride back to the hotel, IF one of us would have brought a credit card along on our walk! LOL

It's really a pretty decent deal at $8 for a day pass. The only thing is that you have to check them back into a station every 30 minutes. That is enough time to get just about anywhere in town though.

Made, I will keep them and you in my thoughts.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Another wet, dreary day today, but October is on the way!

We had a little excitement in Bellville Sunday night. I was asleep on the couch about 10:30 when I heard some vehicle raising sand outside, blowing horns, racing, etc. They left and I dozed off again. Then they came back, this time tossing out fire crackers. So, I got mad and went outside. They took off down one of our darker streets, so I followed them in my truck. They left town in a hurry, and I went home. The next day, I found that they had "rolled" a house in town that one of the high school seniors lived in. It's homecoming week at the nearby school, and a few of the seniors took it a bit too far. Anyway, the whole senior class was out there cleaning the yard when I came back by...LOL.

Jacob came home and said the older kids were talking about me at school. Apparently, they didn't expect me to follow them the night before, and now they were a bit afraid of me. GOOD!

T-13 hours and 40 minutes-ish until October here in the eastern time zone.

Pumpkins and goblins, candy and ghosts are on their way.

It also means I have to start working on my MP3 player and get it ready for Christmas, I have to add new and take out some old songs. (I don't think there will be many "leaving" the MP3 player)

Just want to say hello this morning.
I have to head to work in a few minutes, inventory tonight that should go very smoothly since I set myself up well for it yesterday.

It's a dreary ol day here, with a high of 64 predicted! It did rain a little - not much - but enough to make things damp. Hopefully it wasn't enough to put a hault to our brick layers job! They got over 1/2 done yesterday & they were back bright & early this morning!! UPS called my hubby this morning to see if he wanted the day off...so he is at home putting primer on the walls & ceiling. YAY!! Can't wait to go home for lunch to see how the progress is coming along ~ hopefully it's all good! LOL! xx

Welcome to the Countdown, Niktsak!!!!!

Good afternoon everyone!

It's prep time at school! Teaching has been OK thus far today. Hopefully more calls will come in for tomorrow. I am not an art teacher in the slightest, but I it is indeed where I am today! I've had these classes before, so I kind of know how they work. With the right students, it can be fun! There was a two hour assembly today to celebrate the Terry Fox Run. That broke up the day quite nicely. It is always good to get outside, too. Unfortunately, the weather isn't as nice as previous days. We're only in the mid teens/50s.

Somewhat surprisingly, the colours on my drive were not as vibrant as last week. I was all excited in hopes that they would be in full peak, but they appeared a little dull. Perhaps I caught them at just the right time before. Lucky me! Many other leaves still have yet to change. Such an exciting time!

Speaking of exciting, it's hard to fathom that today is, indeed, our last day of September. Tomorrow, we will flip those calendars into October and marvel at the closeness of the Christmas Season. Yes, so close that we're only a week away from that final homestretch! Incredible!!

Well, I should do some "teacher" things. I hope everyone has been enjoying their final day of September!

Quiet night on here. Seems like everyone went to watch some primetime TV at the same time!

There's only two more hours until we flip those calendars. October brings colder weather, but warm hearts as we will see Christmas begin to fill into stores at an exciting rate!
