We plan to visit my mother-in-law today, if she is up to it.

And then I have been feeling under the weather, so I plan to rest up this weekend and stay close to home. We have a trip coming up, so I don't want to be sick for it. May start some packing, too.

And then I have been feeling under the weather, so I plan to rest up this weekend and stay close to home. We have a trip coming up, so I don't want to be sick for it. May start some packing, too.

Weekend Eve -- it's here again.

As are the morning numbers, dependably delivered as always, to be enjoyed along with that morning cup
of of sweet southern tea.

Days to the Season: 42
Days to Christmas Day: 84.

And incredibly, we now find ourselves barely over half a week off from the last of our long list of
Season Milestones, the Ninety Percent Home Stretch marker!
(Closing in fast, now!)

Well, it nearly felt like summer had returned here yesterday, with our high moving back into the 80's.
Dry too, without the slightest threat of precipitation.
Could rain this evening, however, but the weekend should be pretty good.
We are at 65 degrees here, currently.

And I will see you here Monday morning, with our guest counter, Brent, taking the bridge for the next two mornings.

same here....I was 8 when the wall came down.....I remember how happy and moved the people were......and David Hasselhoff sang Looking For Freedom.......lmao.....yes....he was very big over here for some as a singer.....hahaha

Thanks for all of the Prayers over the last couple of days everyone!!!!

Back on the 20th my BIL decided to surprise my sister with Divorce papers. It was a Saturday and she had been working a craft fair and came home to a sheriff sitting in her driveway and him peeking out the window. He had never mentioned anything to her about it or anything.

It wasn't just the divorce though. He also wanted full custody of the kids. Now he may not be a terrible dad but he is not really involved in those kids lives at all compared to my sister. He didn't even know their teachers names compared to my sister who volunteers in their classrooms and is president of the PTO at the school. Not to mention the fact that she is leader of both of their girl scout troops.

So there has been a lot of drama over the last couple of weeks with him running to his mommy who is paying for all of it for him and her thinking that she would just be able to run over my sister like she did her ex husband. Well she has been around us long enough that she should have known better.

My sister had been trying to work with him and offered him 2 days a week plus every other weekend and then split their school breaks 50/50. So almost 50/50 but he wouldn't have nothing of it. So they finally went to court this morning for the temporary custody hearing and the judge saw right through him. He only ended up getting his 2 days off every other week. Plus since he works retail, when his days off fall during the week the kids have to be home that night so they can get ready for school the next day. So that's really only 5 hours or so that he will get with them. Long way away from that full custody he wanted.

He can still try to fight it during the final divorce hearing but hopefully he see's that the judge isn't buying what he is trying to sell.

Awe made - I'm so sorry to hear that! I'm glad the judge saw right through him! I'll be keeping your sister & nieces in my prayers. And you too!

Happy Friday everyone. We should have a nice weather weekend. After some rain today, our forecast high Saturday is 50 with a low of 36. I'd prefer a high of 36 but am grateful for these cooler temps.
