I told Doc we are watching Monday Night Football tonight.

I think we all miss her, she was such a beautiful soul, always looking out for everyone. She always made time for everyone here, always the first to welcome newbies with a private message. Her Christmas spirit was one of a kind.

I spent a good chunk of my day trying to catch up on all I have missed here, and made some progress. Spent must more time reading than posting today and am filled with the Christmas spirit. So many things have changed yet so much has remained the same! So many familiar names and so many new names around here too! But at the core, this is an amazing community that is filled with so much spirit! This community is a real gift! Night everyone! :}

Yes, a lot of kindness here. It's nice when people come together & share it.

Finally was able to get here and read the posts, late like usual.

Been listening to quite a bit of Christmas music tonight, I wanted to start fiddling with my MP3 player but we didn't even sit down to eat until 830.



Day off tomorrow, I am hoping to get to Goodwill tomorrow, and the DVD trade store, hoping for some Christmas stuff at both places.



Time for some shuteye.

[Festive Spirit]

Merry Morning all!

It looks set to be a very wet October which is disappointing as I would prefer cold crisp autumn days to the wet, soggy, damp I just hope we have a dry Halloween. I have been soaked both morning this week taking my son to school ...ah well.

I was really excited to find out that the city will be doing their big switch on of the Christmas lights on Nov 07!! It's usually a big deal with someone famous flipping the switch, live music from guest performers and fireworks at the end. It is the official launch of the Christmas season here!!! I love when the city is all lit up and decorated. My town will probably follow soon after with our own big switch on ....on a smaller scale though!

I just love this feeling of anticipation and excitement!
