Good afternoon everyone!

Friday afternoon. One more class. The long weekend is so close! Thankfully, I have one more class left to teach and I think it should be a fairly simple one. Many of the students were in my favourite class from last year, so I always look forward to seeing them.

It is a chilly fall day in Ottawa. We are around 10c/50f but the windchill has it feeling like 6c/43f. Brrrr! The forecast looks as if the wind should be blowing away throughout the evening and temperatures will be on the rise as of Sunday. It will be nice to have some warmth for the long weekend, but it is typical fall weather. No real complaints, here!

Tonight should be fairly busy. I am heading to the gym after work. Afterwards, Kim and I will be making our final preparations and making the hour drive to Cornwall. Hopefully we will see some nice colours along the way!

I should probably make my final preparations for my last class. I hope you all have had a great Friday thus far! Only a few more hours until the weekend has officially arrived. It's always special to have a long weekend, but it is obviously even more special when it is Thanksgiving weekend! Nothing beats delicious food and good company. Enjoy the rest of your Friday!

Good afternoon from me! And happy Friday too! :]
After waking up at 4a.m. yesterday, I slept way too long today. I didn't even here my alarm clock which had never happened before.
Anyway, I have started typing one of my uni assessments. I must say that the very beginning is always the toughest. ^^
I've also noticed the Christmas writing contest here, on MMC. I thought that it's such a nice way to honour Louanne. I am thinking of entering because it's a good way to improve my skills in creative writing. :] I will definitely think of some ideas.

I forget which of you ladies thinks that Luke Bryan is so pretty, but he's doing his annual outdoor concert here tonight. As a matter of fact, he'll be about a 1/2 mile from my office in a few hours.

The sheriff's office and the DOT are setting up the detours and temporary road signs to direct traffic to the field here in the industrial park where the concert will be.

My house is just a couple miles away, and last year I could hear him just fine from my back yard.

I don't think I'll be fighting the crowd to get to see him, but it's a big fund-raiser for the businesses in the community, so I appreciate him for that. :wink:

It's me, it's me!!! Not only do I think "he's pretty" lol, but he has such an awesome voice. My kids even love him. Hope you were able to enjoy him. He does so much for charity - what a great event he does every year!

DH is working at the fire department and teaching all weekend, so the kids and I will be hanging out together. We're meeting my parents, sister, and her boyfriend for dinner, then the kids and I are going to come home, watch a movie, make some popcorn, and have a sleep over.
