Good Morning my Christmas Friends!!!
An older lady at church did a very nice thing for me yesterday. Nearly a year ago she came to church and I noticed her purse and told her how much I liked it. It has a shiny metal leopard on the outside of it but looks classy. Hard to explain, I need to take a picture of it. I asked her where she got it because I wanted to go out and buy one too. She told me she don't remember because it was so long ago, 15 years ago maybe. No way I can buy one if it was that long ago. When I see her carrying it I compliment it. Yesterday I was a door greeter and as I was handing her a pamphlet I said, "Oh you are carrying that beautiful purse again"! She opens it up and starts to take her belongings out and said, "Would you like to have it"?! I said, "No, no, no, that is your purse, keep it"! She said, "Hold on" then walked into the sanctuary. She went in there and took out everything and came back and handed me her purse!!! I kept insisting I could not take it but she said she has a lot of purses and has had that a long time and told me she wants me to have it. I could not believe it but was very grateful. I still feel funny about accepting it but she really wanted me to have it. For as long as she has had it, it is in mint condition. I plan to buy her a thank you gift. Her nice gesture inspired me and reminds us all there are giving people in this world. I will try not to feel funny about it anymore and cherish it!
It will be in the 60's today then back up to 90 degrees by Thursday. Wee!
