Christmas is starting to show up in the stores here now too, I will have to get busy and take pictures for the blossom thread.
Days off can be great! Thanksgiving here and store is closed so I get to relax and not worry about getting called in. Enjoy yours too!

CHRISTMAS SEASON 2014 -- in all its glory!


Nice and warm yesterday but with some more rain.
All and all not bad though, as most of the day was precipitation free.
Today should be dry and reasonably warm, and it has started off at 61 degrees.

Good morning MMC!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all Canadians!!! I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday!! :family:

We have a dreary/rainy ol day going on in Ohio. It's warmer, but it looks like it should be 9:30 pm instead of am! I just got a text from my friend saying she & her 2 oldest daughters are home sick today with sinus infections, so they decided to get in the Christmas spirit & they are watching Elf! AWE!!! I'm a little jealous, though not of the being sick part!!! Seems like an awesome Christmas movie day!!!

I hope you all had a great weekend. Ours was pretty uneventful. We were at the lake. There was no Buckeye game on Saturday ~ my Browns won yesterday ~ holy smokes!!! Our friends from Pittsburgh were texting during the game. Fun stuff! We moved furniture into the new room yesterday. Our cabinet maker is coming over today to check out what he needs to do to encase the doorway & the window that we took out in wood. I think that's about it!

Now I'm off to catch up on what I missed over the weekend! (hopefully) Have a GREAT Monday everyone!!!

I hope all of you are healthy & happy.

I'm recovering from the flu. Luckly now I'm only coughing. Last couple of days I had a running nose, sore throat and overall aching body. Not fun! :-(

Anyway can't believe that next week my fall holidays will start. Only a week but still I'm looking forward to it.

glad to hear you are feeling better, I hate being sick too. ((((HUGS))))

Good Morning my Christmas Friends!!!

An older lady at church did a very nice thing for me yesterday. Nearly a year ago she came to church and I noticed her purse and told her how much I liked it. It has a shiny metal leopard on the outside of it but looks classy. Hard to explain, I need to take a picture of it. I asked her where she got it because I wanted to go out and buy one too. She told me she don't remember because it was so long ago, 15 years ago maybe. No way I can buy one if it was that long ago. When I see her carrying it I compliment it. Yesterday I was a door greeter and as I was handing her a pamphlet I said, "Oh you are carrying that beautiful purse again"! She opens it up and starts to take her belongings out and said, "Would you like to have it"?! I said, "No, no, no, that is your purse, keep it"! She said, "Hold on" then walked into the sanctuary. She went in there and took out everything and came back and handed me her purse!!! I kept insisting I could not take it but she said she has a lot of purses and has had that a long time and told me she wants me to have it. I could not believe it but was very grateful. I still feel funny about accepting it but she really wanted me to have it. For as long as she has had it, it is in mint condition. I plan to buy her a thank you gift. Her nice gesture inspired me and reminds us all there are giving people in this world. I will try not to feel funny about it anymore and cherish it!

It will be in the 60's today then back up to 90 degrees by Thursday. Wee!

Happy (Canadian) Thanksgiving! Oh, and happy one month until the Season!

A day full of celebrations! In just one month we will be welcoming the Christmas Season on Thursday, November 13th. I hope to have the opportunity to ring in the tradition with all of you as we countdown in realtime while the clock moves from 11:59pm to 12:00am.

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner last night. Kim's mom prepared some delicious stuffing/dressing, the turkey was nice and tender, and everything else was more than enjoyable, too! Of course, it is always nice to see Kim's side of the family. They can be loud, but only because they all get along so well. I am still a little full this morning.

The Packers had me fairly frightened yesterday. What a finish! There were many plays late in the third quarter that led me to believe the win would slip away. Thankfully, Rodgers commanded a fantastic drive . Phew! 4-2 is much better than 3-3.

All right. It's time to prepare to head back to Ottawa. It has been quite an adventure in Cornwall. Simon has gotten up to some mischief - he figured out how to open the closed doors throughout the house - but he seems to be OK here. He doesn't quite get along with the dogs or cats, but it is a process.

Let the packing begin. Let the countdown to our next holiday begin! Halloween doesn't really count since it is not a day off. For some, it is Remembrance Day. For many others, it's CHRISTMAS! Happy one month to the Season! Enjoy your holiday Monday!!

Merry Monday!!! You know I can't believe how quickly the weeks are going by! Crazy! November will be here soon and that is going to be my official start, I think. I can't wait any longer than that for Christmas movies and music lol

In the meantime, I am so excited for Halloween. The children will be off school that week on mid term break. It will be great fun!

I had a busy one , I didn't even get around to putting up my Halloween stuff like I wanted!! I bought a couple Halloween wooden plaques though - discounted - £1.79 for the both !

Lots of Christmas in the shops now and it's growing! Love it!

Tomorrow is my little one's birthday - he will be 3!!! Today I need to bake and decorate his cake. I'll be focusing on that and a bit of laundry today. I'm giving myself a day off lol!

Sophia is our new addition, she's about six weeks old. She's been keeping me very busy. I would love to see pictures of your kittens, they are so precious!

Thanks, Buddy!!!! Thankfully there is no mail today so I don't have to leave the apartment at all if I don't want too. So staying dry shouldn't be a problem. LOL!!!!
