Hope your daughters appointment went well, and that you were able to get a lot accomplished.
Your Halloween costume sounds really cute! My first dog's name was Lady, middle name bug- my sister & I picked it out. Every time I see one, I think of her [emoji173]️
Hope you have a great day, HmG!!
xx
Goodnight, HMG!!!! A lady bug should look really cute!!!
I forgot to say that the girl that was taken off of life support in Washington wasn't my BIL's niece. Her name is Shaylee. If you could keep the prayers coming for her and her family I would appreciate it. They need a miracle.
Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!
Nancy and I had a wonderful trip to the mountains to celebrate our anniversary. It's not actually until late November, but there's no way to arrange a trip alone in November with all of Elizabeth's dance schedules.
Anyway, we had a great time, and I'm so thankful for my wife. I can't believe she's put up with me for 20 years!
I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
Yippee!!!! [emoji318] [emoji319]

Hi all, nice to be back in the warm confines of this wonderful site.
Haven't been here since Christmas Day last year. Looking forward to reading the multitude of posts!
With Halloween mere days away I knew I had to get back here, around people who see Halloween as the unofficial start to the holiday season:dance:
(Christmas music starts in my house this Saturday!)
Have a great week, one and all
That is awesome!! I love that they did it Halloween night

Good Morning.
Moving right along through the week, we are.
Creeping ever closer.....day by day.....to our long-awaited Season of Seasons.
And thus we but turn another page:
Days to Halloween: 3 (Now UNDER half a week away!)
Days to the Season: 16 (TWO WEEKS FROM THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW!)
Days to Christmas Day: 58 (Eight weeks from the day after tomorrow!)
Wow, Folks.
Just WOW!
Real nice again yesterday when we entered the low 70's.
Our official predicted high for tomorrow is 81!
But then, the bottom falls out and we are supposed to get down almost to the freezing mark by Saturday night. (BRRRRR!)
For now, we stand at 53 degrees here.
Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everybody!
Thank you both!
Snowflake, that's so sweet about your dog ~
xo
Good Morning and Happy Tuesday ~
I hope everyone has a great day!

How will I survive this year without cable and hallmark Christmas movies?!?!?

I was just thinking about a neighbor of mine from nearly 20 years ago in some apartments I use to live in. We shared a porch with them and every year on Halloween we would decorate the porch and even enclose it to make a small haunted house for the kids to walk through and get candy. We had that set up for about an hour then take our kids out trick or treating. When my neighbors came home from Trick or Treating around 9:00 pm they would take down their Halloween decorations and start setting up their Christmas Tree and outdoor Christmas lights ON Halloween night!!! I remember the other neighbors commenting it's way too early for that BUT within a few days after Halloween everyone caught Christmas fever from them and about 50% of the apartments dragged their Christmas trees and decorations out then got busy decorating their place. Our apartments would be all lit up within the first week of November. I loved the way they got everyone in the Christmas spirit early. Because of them it got me decorating the first week of November and I have been doing so since!
In the words of our lovely Caninemom she called this time of year, Christween - Christmas/Halloween combo. That night at our apartments would describe it perfectly!

we can never have enough friends !
Watching Halloween on AMC tonight and eating some brownies.
It was chilly and breezy today, but tomorrow looks a lot warmer (but then it's back to cold for Wednesday through the weekend).
While watching The Walking Dead last night we saw the first Christmas commercial of the year, excluding the Radio City Christmas Spectacular commercials. It was for Best Buy, and I thought the decision to air it not once, not twice, but three times during the Walking Dead was a bit odd. Oh well! It was nice to see, even during a show like that.
Hope everyone had a good day and has had a great run-up to Halloween. It's almost the holiday season!
