Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

We had customers from North Carolina in for a plant visit yesterday, we vane Georgia Power in today, and another Georgia Power group in tomorrow. We've become a popular destination for transmission line design engineers! LOL

It got up to 90° yesterday, and today is still supposed to be warm, but I think it's going to cool down a little for Halloween.

[Holiday]

It was a beautiful night to sit out and got caught up with the neighbor's. Now it's time for The Voice though. I'll skip the scary movie that other people may be watching!!! LOL!!!

Wasn't it awesome to sit outside last night? LOVED IT!!!! I'm with you on skipping the scary movies ~ I had a scary dream last night w/o watching them movies. :lol:

Good evening! I'm about to turn in, I can't keep my eyes open. Busy day, lots of chores, a few errands plus my daughter had a routine doctor appointment as well. I've also been working on my Halloween costume, we have to dress up at the preschool. I decided to be a ladybug. I thought that would be cute, I didn't want to pick something that would scare the kids, lol. Anyway, I hope everyone had a nice start to the week. Enjoy the rest of the evening, goodnight!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a rainy day here with a high in the mid 60's. Then we start cooling down for the rest of the week. Not to much going on here today. Just going to do some more catch up work around the apartment and then it's back to the job hunt. I still need to listen to the newest podcast too. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm watching a show I had on the dvr....America's Scariest Halloween Attractions 2. They just showed Terror Behind the Walls at the old Eastern State Penetentry in Philidelphia. I want to tour that building! Not sure if I could do the haunted attraction but I'd like to tour the place.

It was a long day today, got home from work and mowed the front yard, mainly to suck up the leaves.

I have my inventory tomorrow, counting all those turkeys will drive me nuts. The downfall of having a weekend off, working 6 days in a row.

I was supposed to work on my MP3's tonight, but I have started to listen to other music and haven't even started. I downloaded some Christmas music from Noisetrade last night to add, I probably get some of that done. cheesy

Good Morning everyone

How are you?

I had a great week of holiday! We had the first drop in temperature and the first snow on our village mountain. I had time to clean out my stuff and clothes. Went shopping for new autumn / winter clothes and got a new hair colour!

Unfortunately my mother didn't get any of the jobs. In one case it was because she didn't want to do the night shift and in the other one she was too old. Anyway she didn't give up and is sending five other applications this week. She needs to have a new job at least next summer as she won't be able to commute from the new living place to her old job.

This week I have a lot of work to do as we have our annual trade fair on Thursday. Lot's of things to prepare for it and after the fair we have our annual customer party. It will be a looooooong day (and night)!

Can't believe it will be first november this saturday! Time sure is flying!

I'm glad you had a good holiday!!! I'll be hoping & praying your Mom can find something she enjoys before next summer! Good luck with your trade fair. Have a good day!!!

:-o But, snowflake had some good advice! =)

I was just thinking about a neighbor of mine from nearly 20 years ago in some apartments I use to live in. We shared a porch with them and every year on Halloween we would decorate the porch and even enclose it to make a small haunted house for the kids to walk through and get candy. We had that set up for about an hour then take our kids out trick or treating. When my neighbors came home from Trick or Treating around 9:00 pm they would take down their Halloween decorations and start setting up their Christmas Tree and outdoor Christmas lights ON Halloween night!!! I remember the other neighbors commenting it's way too early for that BUT within a few days after Halloween everyone caught Christmas fever from them and about 50% of the apartments dragged their Christmas trees and decorations out then got busy decorating their place. Our apartments would be all lit up within the first week of November. I loved the way they got everyone in the Christmas spirit early. Because of them it got me decorating the first week of November and I have been doing so since!

In the words of our lovely Caninemom she called this time of year, Christween - Christmas/Halloween combo. That night at our apartments would describe it perfectly!

Awe - what a sweet story! Love it!

Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year but I am not into the scary stuff, I am more into the whimsical childlike part of it. Halloween TV lineup consist of kid friendly shows, cartoons, cooking shows and house decorating shows. I will watch some of the shows on the Travel Channel featuring Haunted Houses across America. They show a few in my area but I have yet to go to them. That's about as scariest as it gets! =)

The one scary movie that I allow myself to watch, an old classic, The Exorcist! That movie scared me enough that I am not interested in watching any of the new scary stuff they have out now. I have seen other classics, The Shining, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street and a few others but I only go back to the Exorcist. I have not seen that in a few years but my son and I do plan to watch it this week. (He's an adult!) No matter how many times I have seen it I still get freaked out over it! Wish me luck!

Tonight on ABC is, The Great Halloween Fright Fest, competitive Halloween decorating show. A Family will be award 50,000 prize for the best display.

Good Morning.

Moving right along through the week, we are.
Creeping ever closer.....day by day.....to our long-awaited Season of Seasons.

And thus we but turn another page:
Days to Halloween: 3 (Now UNDER half a week away!)
Days to the Season: 16 (TWO WEEKS FROM THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW!)
Days to Christmas Day: 58 (Eight weeks from the day after tomorrow!)

Wow, Folks.
Just WOW!


Real nice again yesterday when we entered the low 70's.
Our official predicted high for tomorrow is 81!
But then, the bottom falls out and we are supposed to get down almost to the freezing mark by Saturday night. (BRRRRR!)
For now, we stand at 53 degrees here.

There's a few famous movies I've never seen. Kind of like my wife can't believe I've never seen Top Gun. I'm weird I guess.

All this talk about snow in the forecast got me thinking about what our weather will be like for Thanksgiving. Last year it was SO cold we didn't have a good turnout for the turkey trot at all. Here's the forecast (very extended) for this year:

The weather today has been perfect for the season. Very Dark, grey but strangely warm. We seem to be having summer temps here at 16C! We just came back from a walk out to the shops. We have been enjoying all the fallen leaves everywhere. As the children are off school this week, there is a festive, cheerful atmosphere out as people get in the spirit of holloween. I hope that this weather keeps up.

We were out picking up Halloween decorations for Mr Festive 's office and managed to find a couple reduced Halloween things for us too! Bargain!

Hope you all are having a great week and enjoying the build up! I am off to watch a Halloween episode of Bewitched with the kids- *twitches nose* lol

That Cowboys game wore me out last night!!! Coach, you there? Did you see the whole game??? Kept me up way past my bedtime just to watch them lose in overtime. Now I am up way too early and worn out. It was a good but frustrating game!
