Brent - It's good to hear Kim's Grandma is doing well. Continued prayers.

Sugar - Hope you had a good night at work and things are not to busy for you. How is your headache? Hope you are feeling much better.

MERRY WEDNESDAY ! Happy Pines Day. Hope everyone is ok. I have a few chores I need to do and then I need to do some shopping online. My head feels like there is a balloon inside. I am hoping I get over whatever this is very soon. This is my vacation week and I am off on Sunday so I don't want to be unwell for all our festive plans lol!

chilling a moment before starting to the do the house and maybe start to decorate for Christmas. Later on I will go the vet with Stripey so she gets her second of shot of medication against her bladder infection......she´s much better and sleeping right beside me....Spike our catboy is sitting on the couch staring at me...he cracks me up because he is always hungry....I had to feed Stripey twice because he ate her food as well....lol

it is not snowing this morning, but we do have a beautiful looking outdoors right now.

Good Morning, Practically Perfect 'Pines Preferrers.

And say now. This is the first 'Pines Day of the Season, a fact of which Carl is acutely aware. More about that later.

First, the count can and must go on without interruption:
Days to Thanksgiving: 8 (Can you believe it? ONE WEEK from tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 36 (Five weeks from tomorrow!)


Well, we have an ice box here on our hands, where we stand just below 25 degrees at this hour.
A slow warming trend is predicted, thank goodness.
(Wouldn't want still lower temps in November!)


Alrighty.
Carl has got the 'Pines decorated to the hilt in traditional fashion.
Lots of red and green with pine cones -- LOTS of pine cones.
(All I can say is I hope you like pine cones!)
Plenty of red and green frosted fired twinkies, of course.
And new this year - fortune fired twinkes.
(Fortune fired twinkies??)
Can't wait to see what's written in those!
Anyway, it should be a magical first Christmas-decorated visit to the 'Pines and I'm looking forward to it.
Hope to see each and every one of you there, too.

Harlowe is hanging in, wasn't feeling well after her vet appointment, sore I think. She cuddled with me all night. Hope to get the test results back today, so I'll let you guys know what I find out. Praying hard.

I have to head to work in a few, we are having over 300 turkey special orders picked up today.

Just got a call from the school, JP ripped his pants, so I have to drop off a new pair for him. cheesy

Us coastal Georgia folks ain't used to this cold weather! Brrr! I think it's supposed to be back up to the mid-70's by the weekend, though.

Elizabeth is practicing away every evening for her performance. I'm glad she was able to get over getting braces last week so quickly. She doesn't even complain about them anymore. Jacob is feeling a little better, too.

We had homemade soup and PB&J sandwiches last night at Nancy's parents'. I love soup on a cold night!

Wish we were getting the snow. Our temp was 10 when I left for work this morning. I know I'm in the minority but I really like it.

Our winter was so brutal last year that it was unsafe to be outside, and that was claustrophobic. Because I want to be outside & enjoy it!

Glad everyone is doing well. Enjoy the cold weather. Maybe it will kill some of the fireants. I remember they were horrible when we lived in Dallas & Atlanta.
