Finished my audio project! Spent about 5 hours on it, with a short lunch break. Time to stow the equipment, get some cocoa and cookies, and relax with some some Christmas video until Mr. gets home.

Speaking of video, I watched part of the live "Peter Pan" broadcast last night, but finally turned it off. We did that show when I was in high school (I played piano and keyboard), so I noticed that they rewrote much of the dialogue to modernize it (from 1954) and rewrote some of the lyrics to make to make them politically correct. They even replaced Captain Hook's song with something new! That ended it for me, because that's a funny song and there's nothing offensive in it---he just rhapsodizes on how reprehensible he is. Oh, well, mores change as time marches on, I guess.

Good afternoon!

Wishing all of you a MERRY weekend!!!

Hey everyone!

Sorry I've been out today. Nancy's mom fell yesterday afternoon and seriously broke her leg above the knee. Since she'd recently been on chemo, her bones were especially brittle, and it shattered at the break.

She's in surgery right now, and they're saying she has months of recovery ahead. But, she's in good spirits and she's ready to work at it.

Prayers appreciated for Mrs. Hilda! Thanks!

Brad

Good morning, HmG~

I know, too much going on around the holidays! When all we really want is time to slow down so we can take it all in [emoji173]️ And be with the ones we cherish the most.

Thinking of you!

Hope Maggie is ok, keeping her in my thoughts & prayers. Keep us posted on what her vet says. (((Hugs))) to you both.

Have a great day!

xx

I hope Maggie gets feeling better soon!!

I hope you are able to find some time to enjoy the season, HMG!!!!

I will have you and Maggie in my thoughts.

I hope at least a portion of each day can be less hectic so you can slow down and be in the (Christmas) moment. Try to take a cup of tea (or coffee, or cocoa), sit down where you can see the Christmas tree, and sip slowly. Forget about everything else until the beverage is gone.

Thank you, Maggie's doctor wasn't in today so I made an appointment for tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.

MerryCarey, I think that's a great idea. I'm going to try & do that every day. Thank you so much.

Thanks!! I may put white ones up, later. But right now, I am really digging the green!

Many merry moons ago, I was reading about Feng Shui colours and GREEN is associated with calming tranquility, purification, and nature. That's what I felt viewing your photos so it must be true.

Me too, lol. Those classic Christmas specials from the 60's & 70's are some of my favorites.

I still prefer traditional Christmas flicks and animated specials to the majority of merry offerings they have available these days.

Goodnight, MMC!!!

That handsome happy cat looks like my O'Malley - sometimes when we go away for a weekend and leave him, we place one of our PJ tops on the sofa or his cat bed in case he wants to snuggle with the smell of us. I bet if we set up a ***** cat camera, we'd discover he's sleeping on our bed when we're not here. Maybe next time, I'll leave him with my Christmas nightshirt.

Haven't touched mine Made. Normally I go them in summer. Not Yabba. They may not get out

All of my out of town ones are gone - still have the gang at work and the neighbours to do. There's so little time - I'm feeling the pressure now - I meant to start after Thanksgiving, but it didn't happen.

Good Morning, Weekend Eve Expecters and Breathless Christmas Hopers.

Well, breathe easy as Christmas is now LESS THAN THREE WEEKS AWAY!
(Or perhaps that will leave you more breathless.)

Today's release:
Days to Christmas Day: 20
(In to the teens tomorrow. Wow!)

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends.
This afternoon starts our third-to-the-last Weekend before Christmas!

Breathe easy - near panic time for me - thankfully I have a bit more time to finish my shopping, make my holiday fudge (that I don't eat), etc. In case I forget to mention it at the close of this thread - thanks for keeping this merry countdown going!

Happy Friday to all! :-) Thinking of you all in this busy, whizzy, bright and wonderful season!

Just hanging around on the forums before starting an audio project. I'll be doing a lot of recording, so I hope the phone doesn't start ringing, or the neighbors start using leaf blowers or shredders!

I'm with the rest of you who feel like the season is whooshing by too fast. I'm hoping we can screen some holiday films this weekend. Watching films in the dark slows things down a bit and focuses you on Christmas! It's one of our favorite parts of the season. Normally we'd be screening some films on Thanksgiving weekend, but we were doing some gift wrapping in our screening area then. I need to get some lights up outdoors, but that will have to wait until this weekend, because the audio must come first.

I'm looking forward to the big merry party and the podcast - hope my tablet can handle the listen now feature - sometimes it cuts out on me. My laptop isn't connected to the internet anymore - some kind of WOOPS on my end.

Woosh and shwoosh indeed!

I tried, but I couldn't get into it.I saw Peter Pan on Ice when I was little with my brother, mother and a friend of hers who was introducing us to her newly adopted daughter and son who were about the same age as us. My teenage cousin was living with us at the time and she had a friend named Wendy so I started calling her boyfriend Peter Pan. That all came flooding back when I changed the channel.

My mom has had a few bad falls since her stroke because her depth perception is a bit out of the ordinary. I can only imagine how painful that must be considering how brittle her bones are. I've got Hilda covered in the Northern Sector.
A friend of mine from work was visiting the doctor for a bone test and as I always try to add a touch of humour to spooky situations, I suggested - well actually pleaded with her in a fun way to hum "Dem Bones". When she got back, I asked if she did and she said, "No, but I started smiling for no reason because it was in my head." Mission accomplished, I put a smile on her face.

Merry Greetings, y'all!

I have to work tomorrow and then head over to the Mall to finally get that top finished for my mom. They ran into trouble with their software and couldn't finish what they started. So glad I didn't wait until the last minute to get my mom's favourite photo of her cat, PEDRO printed onto a top. They called on Tuesday to say the new printer had arrived, but I haven't had a chance to get over there yet.

I am supposed to have the morning off after the World's Largest On-Line Christmas Party, but I'm not sure I can swing it - I have too much to do before my holidays.

I am off a few days before Christmas so I'll get a bit of rest then - haha.

Keep a merry thought in your head!

Hope you have a good morning at work and that your mom's shirt turned out great!!!! Have a great weekend, Auntie!!!!

Friends I'm asking for prayers tonight. I dont even know their names, but there are two children at the school where my wife teaches who were afraid to go home tonight. The police were called and they came out but they stated without more evidence of a crime, they couldn't do anything. I hate the thought of these kids being afraid and possibly being abused. It's just eating me up inside. Prayers for them would be appreciated!
