I am with you, I can't be without my tree yet, the PCB's would destroy me at this point if I did that. As of right now the earliest the first tree comes down will be January 13 this year. (My tradition is not to take down or shut off any of my lights until after my birthday. My last day can never be my birthday (Jan. 7) so my outdoor lights are shut off after being lit up for the night of January 8. indoor stay on until they are down, and the window candles come down the first day of spring.)

Do I sound crazy? cheesy

No, it sounds like you've given it some serious thought!

I love this thread! I am not ready to take down my tree either. Maybe next weekend. .we'll see. I just love the cozy feeling of the lights!

Happy New Year!

Ours always comes down on 12th night aka January 5th. Any later is considered unlucky!!!

Sounds like you have been busy. I have taken down a few things but will really start tomorrow with my Santa's and then the tree over the weekend.

A little busy. Everything is down and there is still some cleaning left over for tomorrow. I don't like the cleaning part, either. Good luck with your removal, too, made.

Happy new year, Brent!

Good for you, that's a big accomplishment.
Hugs to Simon~

I wish I could take down my things this weekend, I am ready for the new year~

Hopefully next weekend!

Have a wonderful rest of your day~

Happy New Year, snowflake!

At least you have a little extra time with your decorations!

Oh! I met two people from Eau Claire at the Packers game on Sunday. My dad, brother, and I were enjoying our pre-game festivities in Curly's Pub at Lambeau and two brothers - who are Canadian but living in Eau Claire - began talking to us. They were in their 60s. Coincidence, isn't it? Anyway, they were very friendly. Hope they enjoyed the game as much as we do!

Nice, I should really start looking into that DAR.fm, I love me some Christmas music. Thanks for the link.

Look over the thread and let me know via pm when you're ready for the keys.

My wife and I started listening to the Christmas show recordings from 2013 this past September and still didn't get anywhere close to hearing all.

Now I've recorded nearly triple that amount in 2014. Heck, sorting all the recordings into iTunes playlists will probably take until this September!

DAR.fm could be an addiction. However, I know I can quit anytime I wish.

I agree with you, Brent. The cleaning is the worst. I love putting the decorations up, but taking them down and cleaning afterwards is not fun at all.

Hope you've all had a great day and a great start to your new year!

I'm head to bed for a nap, as I work tonight. Hope you all enjoy what's left of the holiday!

Talk to you all tomorrow! God Bless!

boy is this place ever starting to look bare!

My garlands need replacing, they are to many years old and I had to vacuum half of them off the floor. So now I have my first item on my list of decorations to look for!

Going to leave all these lovely cards up a bit longer yet, to nice to put away and a wonderful reminder of all my friends here.

me too, so much fun to be here !
Would love to leave my tree up longer but tradition says it has to come down on the first. Maybe some day I will start a new tradition!

Yes, I will enjoy them for a bit more.

That is so cool that you met some folks from Eau Claire!
I don't think it's a coincidence at all, my friend =]
Glad you had fun talking with them!

So happy that you got to see the game!

Go Pack, Go!!
