Is anybody else so so sad to see the short list of Christmas on TV? :sad:

It does stink! I'm going to continue to watch them on Netflix, Amazon, and what I've DVRed. I also added some new DVDs this year, so hopefully that will keep my spirits up!

Good Morning and a very Happy New Year to each and everyone of you!

My first post here for the 2015 Christmas year. Christmas year; Yes, that's what I said! Because every day here with all of you is Christmas for me, a blessing, a gift and a special day to spend with the ones that you care about.

I'm thought I'd start my New Years off right by having a cup of hot coffee to wash down the plate of Gingerbread cookies that sort of found their way in my lap....LOL~

I am going go to visit my grandfather in a little while and spend some time with him today to ring in the start of a new year. We sit around talking about the world, weather and women (LOL...). We have some pickled herring and sharp cheese and listen to some old time and Blue grass Christmas music; he loves that and so do I.

I hope everyone has a nice day today~

Must tear myself away for now. Tea and video are calling to me, and I need to put together my post-Christmas iTunes library to wean off Christmas music. (I like to keep it fresh so I can look forward to it in the fall!)

Likewise, MerryCarey. I just adjusted my iTunes library today. My Christmas music has now been removed. It is now full of my regular music and podcasts. I really have to catch up on those podcasts. I fell behind a lot since mid-November. It's just too hard to pull away from Christmas music during the Season!

Welp. It's officially over for me. I don't necessarily observe the "12 Days of Christmas." I awoke this morning, 2015, and Christmas still filled my apartment. After about 3 hours of taking down the snow globes, pictures, signs, Santa Clauses, Tree, and all other Christmas decorations that fill my life with such joy for almost two months throughout the year, the apartment is now back to its regular setup.

Simon seemed a little confused as to what we were doing. He didn't like his tree being taken away and put into storage. His first Christmas has come and gone. He was wonderful throughout and I am sure that he will be just as excited for his second cat Christmas!

Anyone else watching the Rose Parade? I would to go to this in person one year!! I'm thinking New York for Thanksgiving and Pasadena for New Years!!!!

Isn't it funny how the season begins with a parade (Macy's), and ends with a parade (Rose) for most people. Perfect bookends.

It never ends for us here at MMC, though. cheesy
