Anyone else watching the Rose Parade? I would to go to this in person one year!! I'm thinking New York for Thanksgiving and Pasadena for New Years!!!!

Good Morning and a very Happy New Year to each and everyone of you!

My first post here for the 2015 Christmas year. Christmas year; Yes, that's what I said! Because every day here with all of you is Christmas for me, a blessing, a gift and a special day to spend with the ones that you care about.

I'm thought I'd start my New Years off right by having a cup of hot coffee to wash down the plate of Gingerbread cookies that sort of found their way in my lap....LOL~

I am going go to visit my grandfather in a little while and spend some time with him today to ring in the start of a new year. We sit around talking about the world, weather and women (LOL...). We have some pickled herring and sharp cheese and listen to some old time and Blue grass Christmas music; he loves that and so do I.

I hope everyone has a nice day today~

.

Is anybody else so so sad to see the short list of Christmas on TV?

The TV list may be short, but my DVR is full of Christmas!!!

Not me; never any time for TV. My and our DAR.fm is full (87 GB & 43 GB respectively)! Crank the radio (okay, mp3 player then) to blast, baby!

Good morning everyone. The Christmas tree is coming down today. :(

But the count is on for next Season, and there's a lot of great things between now and then.

Have a great day, everyone.

Brave fellow! I can't think about taking mine down until New Year's Day is over. Even so, I'll probably wait until NEXT weekend.

:-) I had my first Christmas dream of 2015.

For some reason RJD showed up in a silver renovated bus to pick me up, then we grabbed Gracie and were heading to find JayIsh and then Made wound up on the bus and there were Pogo sticks and hula hoops stored at the back behind a curtain - I don't know what kind of party we were heading to, but it was off to a merry good start. Must have had something to do with that stroll down memory lane that RJD was sharing in the wee hours of the morning.

Happy New Dreams!

Better than my dreams! I had strange dreams last night, for some reason. In one, I picked up my iPhone to make a call and found it had automatically upgraded somehow---the screen looked completely different and I couldn't even figure out how to make a call. Wish I had been on the bus with you instead!

:merry: Someone grinched a few trees around here too - small snowbanks have evidence of real trees that have been discarded. I saw a truck carrying half a dozen trees in the back, hopefully using them for kindly or shelter for little critters.

After the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree comes down each year, it's cut up for lumber, which is donated to Habitats for Humanity. Could a Christmas tree wish for a better fate? I think it's wonderful.

We'll be in your front yard, blowing the horn at three o'clock in the morning, tomorrow. Bring some tomato juice.

packing away the Christmas decorations always makes me sad

Me, too. But I tell myself they have to be packed away to recharge their magic for next year. And it'll feel so good to unpack them again when the time comes!

Lovely way to look at it!

I wanted to watch it, but I was overruled. I love old TV38 for keeping that tradition going on. I use to watch it in my teen years.

We saw about the last half hour after the Boston fireworks. I have a lot of respect for the Stooges, but they're not my favorite style of comedy!

I've got about 200 Christmas albums that I have added to my collection but not listened too. I need to get cranking on that!!

Wheee! I'd do that if I didn't have to work from home tomorrow. If I got on that bus, I wouldn't be back in time to work!

Maybe if you wrote me a note it would be okay. (Like a ransom note.)
