Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good morning!
My husband's vacation is over, he headed back to work this morning. Not too much going on here, I plan on doing some more cleaning. I hope to finish that up today so I can have a relaxing weekend. I also want to work on a menu plan and grocery list for next week. My husband said he wants to go out to dinner tonight, just the two of us. Haven't had a date night in quite some time. That's about it for me today.

It's good to be at home tonight, the home I grew up in. A few of our neighbor friends have stopped by & offered up condolences. It's been a tough week, but so many kind and loving people have humbled us. Thank you all again for your support & friendship [emoji170]

Thank you, we just need to decide if we want to stay where we're at in Eau Claire or move even closer to our families.

Hard to believe it'll be our third home together- we first bought our condo, grew out of that, bought our house, then 6 years later, decided to move back to Wisconsin since Adrian's career made that a possibility. So glad we did.

Time sure flies.

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

Today is my last holiday day from work, in the last two weeks I've only worked two days, but I'm planning on enjoying the day. We're going out to a matinee this afternoon, I'm thinking Night at the Museum, then whatever the kids want to do. I feel like we've ignored them while Nancy's mom has been in the hospital, but Mrs. Hilda is doing better, so we need to tighten up the family life.

First I have to run out to mom's to replace a wax ring under a toilet. yippee! LOL

My goodness, it's already after 9 pm here on the East Coast. How is everyone doing? Any lingering New Years Eve celebration effects; LOL!

I've been out all day since around 1 this afternoon. Spent the day hanging out with my grandfather, just him and I. It's amazing, I've been raised by him, lived with him, hung around with him and still yet, to this very day, I'm 51 years old, and he still tells me stories of something that either I did not know, don't remember or never knew.... We really had a good time but for me, I had a great time hanging out with him, he's 96.3 years old and still going strong!.... Thank you Lord!

I am going into work tomorrow, figured I save a vacation day and go to the office, especially since hardly anyone will be there. Probably a good day to actually get something productive done - a lot less interruptions throughout the day.

I sure hope that 2015 is a great year! I have a wish that everyone of you and all of your families, has a wonderful, safe, healthy, wealthy and fun filled year. May the good Lord shine down on all of us, protect us and guide us~

never had a grandfather close enough to spend time with, he lived in Holland, but my dad was very good at that too.

Happy new year all. 2014 was a tough year. Hopefully 2015 will be much better.



Took our tree down. Always depressing to put the Christmas decorations away. Watching the college bowl games made it a little easier.



Still much too warm here. The bears are still active. We always try to keep bird feeders filled during the winter but twice now a bear has torn them down. If winter ever gets here, we will fill them again.

Good Friday Morning! I'm at the office today, and it's like only about 6 people here. Hopefully, it will be a nice quiet day here.

Just heard the weather forecast for tomorrow and we are supposed to get some ice, starting tomorrow morning around 6am, but then by 10, it's supposed to change over all to rain. Sounds like a good day to work in the garage tomorrow where it will be warm and dry.

I'll be here all day and not going to get into too much at home when I get there this evening, I'm really tired today.

I had this really weird, vivid dream, that kept me up after I awoke last night, it was very strange. I saw the world, thru like, another set of eyes, as it was coming to and end or should I say, the life as we presently know it. It happened over a course of about 3 or 4 days, due to some cosmic catastrophe, that rained down upon the Earth. Hmmmm, maybe I should lay-off the pumpkin roll and Ice Cream and stop watching Cosmos: A Space time Odyssey, before I go to bed at night!!!!

Happy 2015 to all of you. I came into my office for a few hours to clean my desk off and to get ready for a busy Monday. About half of my staff are off today (they saved a day of vacation from 2014 so they could have a four day weekend). In less than 2 hours I will be joining them. My wife's cousin hosts a gingerbread house party every year. Due to scheduling conflicts she couldn't have it until this afternoon so that is where we will be.
The city will pick our tree up from the curb on Monday which is a bummer. Tuesday is Epiphany and we always celebrate it with our decorations still up. But it looks like our tree will come down Sunday night. Enjoy your weekend everybody.

You ever watch that show Cosmos? I love it! Zach actually turned me on that that, and I've been hooked ever since. And what great about that show, it's on demand, so you can watch it anytime you want to.

Ha-Ha, I know that you guys would never move to this area, but it's a thought. You know, within the past year or so, I've tried to hook up with Merry Bells, since she lives in Maryland, MerryCarey , since she lived here in Maryland at one time and Christmas-A-Holic, since SIT is from Maryland, but to no avail. That's Ok, I'm going to keep on trying.

So, my next step is to get someone to move here, near me. I think Adrian and I would hit it off, course, you and I are already buddies, I think you and Lisa would really hit it off, so that would just be a formality. However, before you even think about that, from the sounds of it, we'd better find a place for Made as well, he'll be here on the next flight, LOL!!!!

I already got the perfect gal picked out for him already, we could set them up for a blind date, she's single, likes men, Italian, loves to cook, friendly, good natured, good looking, I like her a lot....but unfortunately for her, I'm off the market, I already found the love of my life~:-D
