Christmas Countdown - 2015

It is insanely busy here at work , so glad I am done in 2 hours !!

But nice and sunny today !

A new Countdown! Yay!!!

I hope everyone is enjoying the New Year so far. Ours was nice. We had our oldest grandson stay the night. We had a nice dinner, sparkling juice in champagne glasses, popped off poppers, a movie then watched some Christmas shows.

New Year's Day we had a big breakfast then our grandson joined Snow-in-Texas and me at my job to feed the animals. Afterward we headed to Starbucks and came home to take down the tree while listening to Christmas music! The house still looks festive because we still have some decorations and lights up around the house. We then went shopping and lunch all the while playing Christmas music in the car. One of the stores we stopped at was still playing Christmas music too! We came home and played Yahtzee. Our grandson stayed another night with us.

Snow-in-Texas and I are still feeling the Christmas spirit without any letdown. Hopefully the blues won't set it - so far doing well!!!

Good morning!
My husband's vacation is over, he headed back to work this morning. Not too much going on here, I plan on doing some more cleaning. I hope to finish that up today so I can have a relaxing weekend. I also want to work on a menu plan and grocery list for next week. My husband said he wants to go out to dinner tonight, just the two of us. Haven't had a date night in quite some time. That's about it for me today.

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

Today is my last holiday day from work, in the last two weeks I've only worked two days, but I'm planning on enjoying the day. We're going out to a matinee this afternoon, I'm thinking Night at the Museum, then whatever the kids want to do. I feel like we've ignored them while Nancy's mom has been in the hospital, but Mrs. Hilda is doing better, so we need to tighten up the family life.

First I have to run out to mom's to replace a wax ring under a toilet. yippee! LOL

Good Friday Morning! I'm at the office today, and it's like only about 6 people here. Hopefully, it will be a nice quiet day here.

Just heard the weather forecast for tomorrow and we are supposed to get some ice, starting tomorrow morning around 6am, but then by 10, it's supposed to change over all to rain. Sounds like a good day to work in the garage tomorrow where it will be warm and dry.

I'll be here all day and not going to get into too much at home when I get there this evening, I'm really tired today.

I had this really weird, vivid dream, that kept me up after I awoke last night, it was very strange. I saw the world, thru like, another set of eyes, as it was coming to and end or should I say, the life as we presently know it. It happened over a course of about 3 or 4 days, due to some cosmic catastrophe, that rained down upon the Earth. Hmmmm, maybe I should lay-off the pumpkin roll and Ice Cream and stop watching Cosmos: A Space time Odyssey, before I go to bed at night!!!!

We are supposed to get freezing rain tomorrow and then snow on Sunday with rain in between. So it's going to be a nasty weekend here as well.

Crazy dream!!! I hope you sleep better tonight and with a less crazy dream!!!

Happy 2015 to all of you. I came into my office for a few hours to clean my desk off and to get ready for a busy Monday. About half of my staff are off today (they saved a day of vacation from 2014 so they could have a four day weekend). In less than 2 hours I will be joining them. My wife's cousin hosts a gingerbread house party every year. Due to scheduling conflicts she couldn't have it until this afternoon so that is where we will be.
The city will pick our tree up from the curb on Monday which is a bummer. Tuesday is Epiphany and we always celebrate it with our decorations still up. But it looks like our tree will come down Sunday night. Enjoy your weekend everybody.

Sitting here waiting for a phone call---there's a job coming in today even though the office is closed. A client is insisting on making changes to some ads, but we don't know when the feedback is coming, so I'm pretty much housebound. I could start packing up decorations, but I don't really have the heart to do that until tomorrow or Sunday. I tell myself I can't be in the middle of something when the office calls. So I'll write dates in my 2015 calendar book and check in here now and then.

Happy Friday everyone!!! Soooooo - we had friends over & stayed up to watched the Buckeye game last night - WOW what a game!!! So today I'm really sleepy - was wishing I had taken the day off work. I get to work & I'm the only one here besides my boss!!! And he says "I didn't know you were coming in today"! What the heck!!! Should have stayed in bed! But when he gets back from lunch, I'm calling it a day! Going to meet up with some of our lake neighbors for "happy hour" later on at the lake! Looking forward to it.

Hey all, how is your day going. Mine seem to be over in a flash! It's now just after 5pm here and I'm not sure where the day went. I am just enjoying the last couple days we are all off. I will be burying myself into work from next week - that should get me through the worst winter months lol

I took down a few decorations. The un christmassing has begun. It's not been too bad though, hoping my spirits stay high.

It doesn't feel like a Friday today. I guess because I was at work yesterday and it was a holiday etc. In the mood for a good film. I have been dying to see the latest X-Men. Maybe we will watch that later.

Stacey , been thinking of you. I hope you and Adi are doing as best as can be.

Brad - Glad to hear Ms Hilda is recovering nicely. Enjoy your family time.

Good Afternoon Gang! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Its just unreal how fast time went flying by once October came. I was not as ready as I would like to have been for Christams. I have been working on assembing my Christmas Notebook so I can be more organized and ready for next Christmas.

We did take down all the inside Christmas decorations .. outside is still up but that will come down either this weekend or next. Debating if we want to leave the snowman up for another month or so. We shall see ....

I visited London when I was 18...I loved every Second I was there!!!!
The States as well!!! London is still much closer to the Family tho

Happy New Year again everyone! I hope you all enjoyed your new year celebrations.

Time to embrace the fresh start!

Well I feel like the season is over for us. The kids and Mr Festive return to work on Monday, Christmas24 TV will end and I will start taking the decorations down. Monday is usually a tough one but I know you all will be here.

I went to the shops on Wednesday and it tore at my heart a little to see the Christmas stuff all sparse and condensed to one shelf. A few were damaged and fallen over.

However , as I get older I realise how fast a year can go by. The fact that we all get excited for Autumn means that it's only 8 months till everything starts all over again. Anyway, the older I get the less I want to wish the year away. I actually look forward to spring and Easter and of course the summer!

Hope everyone is coping with the post Christmas blues . (((hugs)))
