Christmas Countdown - 2015

Hello everyone! I got called into work 2 hours early due to everyone being sick with the flu! I think it will be slow for a few hours(usually until 6pm). I hope everyone is warm on the chilly winter day! right now it is actually a mild 40F here with a low this morning of just 35F we have had a mild winter thus far. Although it did snow on Christmas(started on xmas eve) so I can't complain! Have a great afternoon everyone!

I am sitting down to lunch right now. I am trying a blackened chicken salad from a local deli, I guess if you have to eat healthy this is the best way to go!

We're having spaghetti & meatballs tonight, a typical Wednesday meal in my house. I did print out a bunch of new recipes though, I'm going to try a couple of them next week. Your dinner sounds yummy, I love my crock pot. I just broke the handle off of my lid yesterday, I'm going to have to buy a new one now. :-?

I love my crock pot too and use it all the time - I have three large ones and two small ones!!! [emoji2]

Howdy!

Just stopping by real quick to say hi! It's been awhile since I have been here and really miss you all! Had a few people send me emails asking about my MIA so thought I better stop by. Thanks to all who have kept in touch!

Early January I got the flu and my dad did as well. Then several family members were passing around a cold - great fun! Ha!

Now since I am well I have been busy with gardening! Yes, gardening in January! It's time to plant a few veggies in Texas in the month of January. The weather has been warm the past few days, up to 80 degrees today so getting stuff in the ground now. It will get colder again this weekend. Winter is not over so it's possible we will see snow before it's over - I HOPE! I know most of you folks up north don't want to see anymore so you can pack it up and send it our way! :give:

Not sure how I managed it but never got PCB's - first time for that! Glad it didn't happen! Maybe because I am getting excited about Christmas 2015! cheesy

Great to see you, CAH! So sorry to hear that you and your dad were sick. The flu going around this year has been bad so far.

Only working till noon tomorrow then off to London as my eldest is in need of a book and that is where it is located for pickup

hey there cah! I am sorry you got sick, it has been crazy across the whole country this year, here in SLC ppl are getting it twice! I am glad you did not get the PCB's I have not had them much this year as well, I don't know why, just glad I didn't! hope you have a great evening, and it was good hearing from you!

Yep - I'm an RN, working Labor Delivery the 90% of my schedule and the other part I work our medical-surgical department, but I'm also one of our nurses who they pull to the ED and ICU's. I like it because my job is never boring, I keep my skills up, and I get to work with all kinds of different patients!

Wow my baby sister in Mississipps is an RN and works labor and delivery! She says the same thing...different situations every night good and bad! She works fri sat and sun night from 6pm to 6am..that way she is off during the week to be with her kids and take them to school. I give yall props because I could not do that..I have such a light stomach!!

We start getting a few variations of garden plants at our store every year by mid January that are ready for planting - onions and tators are the most popular right now.
