Today I wanted to put a Patriots balloon and a Seahawks balloon over the freezer, have the Pats balloon a little deflated and the Hawks balloon full and tell everyone that it is the air pressure over the freezer that only affects the Patriots balloon to lose air. No one would let me do it. cheesy

Haha!

That reminds me...I found this online earlier this week...

I read that article and I just throw my hands up...It makes me worry about the world my boys are going to grow up in. It seems people have no pride and a lot of kids have no parents to supervise them and they are running wild. eh...who knows!

I know what you mean, I hate it when the plow pushes the snow off the road and into my driveway, but you know what, it is their job. I can spend the extra few minutes and dig out the end of the driveway, they have cleared the road so I can get to work, get food, etc...

We live in a "me" society now, it seems to be a who can I step on to make myself more important than the next person.

We were swearing because it wasn't a goal!

The angle on TV had the crowd in the background and all the fans were up and jumping and cheering, so I thought it was a goal. Then I saw Tuukka Rask flip the puck out of his glove to the ref. I was like wow!

I have told my wife if we get another cat, I would like to name it Tuukka. cheesy

Good morning everyone who is just waking up to this beautiful Friday morning. Here the temps are amazingly mild for mid winter 36F right now. After feb 10th which is just around the corner we will be in the "late winter" phase of the year! I don't know if I like that or not, I still want a lot of cold and snow, but it just may be an early spring for us in the inter=mountain west. I hope every has a safe commute into work this morning! talk to yall soon!

I can send you some of the cold we are going to have tonight/tomorrow morning. We are going to have wind chills down to -25*F. I am already planning to wear 4 shirts to work tomorrow.

Good morning!
I'm just having a cup of coffee and relaxing. I only have a few minutes and then I have to get started on breakfast for the girls. The cats are going crazy this morning, they're doing laps around the house. Little Rosie is really coming out of her shell. She's a nutjob now, just like the rest of them. Its snowing and it looks so beautiful out there. It's just going to be a coating today. Keeping an eye on that storm that will be moving in here by Sunday night, we may end up with several more inches of snow. I think I'm feeling a bit better. I was coughing so bad last night, I thought I was going to call the doctor first thing this morning. I'm going to hold off and see how I do today. Anyway, not too much going on. Typical day of errands and chores. I may take a ride to Hallmark while I'm out and see if they have anything Christmassy left. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!!!

I am glad you are feeling better, I hope you had some luck at Hallmark.

Hello everyone. Friday came at just the right time...I am in desperate need of a weekend!

We reached 80 degrees this week, and now we have a chance of snow on Sunday! It's crazy.

I hope you all have a great day!

80* already?!!!

I hope you get a little snow.

Good morning MMC! HAPPY FRIDAY!!! :???:

Dad is going to have the X-stop procedure done at 2 levels L3-L4 & L4-L5. My mom had this procedure done a few years ago & has had great luck with it, but it took her 4-5 weeks to come around. It's a Non-invasive, outpatient surgery. Doc says this won't help his back pain or shooting abdominal pain, but will help the weakness in his legs. Would just be great if they can get him mobile again. I worry about him getting so week during this down time. Surgery is tentatively scheduled for 2/9. Sooo praying all goes well! We leave on vacation shortly after that, so hopefully he's doing fine & dandy by then! xx

Schools are all on a delay today. We got a dusting of snow overnight but with the rain yesterday, & dropping temps, the back roads were pretty slick this morning! After work yesterday I went to the grocery, unloaded that stuff - got gas in the car then went to pick up Gracie from the groomer & made up my mind I was staying home the rest of the night. Weather was ICKY/rainy/sleety/snowy/COLD! I hooked on my tree skirt last night! :)

Here's Gracie on her way to the groomer:

After:

She looks so little!!! Doesn't look like the same dog I brought to the groomer. cheesy

Have a Fantastic Friday gang!!!

I will keep your father in my thoughts.

What a cutie!!!

Amen brother!!!! I whole heartedly agree with you with that statement...I've been saying something like that to my friends and family, for awhile now, that the kids and young adults that are coming up now, live in a "It's all about me society"! I blame it on the TV, media and parents who want to be their kids best friend instead of them being their parents.... Again, just my opinion...

The so called big storm forecast for my area and new England has been calculated in percentages to which scenario will most likely play out. Again, I am hoping for scenario A. I'd take 1 foot of snow over an 1" of ice any day of the week....

The news is being very low key about this one still. The National Weather Service has already issued a winter storm watch for Sunday night for us though.

Hello everyone! It's been quite a while since I wrote last but I hope that all of you are doing well. :]

My daily routine got a little hectic lately. I moved to Edinburgh last weekend and I started my internship at the zoo on Monday. It's been a little while since I was waking up at 7 a.m. I need to get use to it again. ^^ Either running around the zoo or dealing with primary school children are both exhausting, so I can barely stay awake until 9 p.m. Although the time is busy, and I expect it to stay this way for upcoming 7 more weeks of my internship, I like it. It is quite exhausting but it leaves no time for meaningless activities. :]

Going to the city center tomorrow to, hopefully, explore Edinburgh a little more. I hope the weather won't be too harsh either.

Sending my best wishes your way. <3

It is great to see you!!!

Remember sometimes the animals listen better than the children. Have fun exploring Edinburgh!!

I'm always fascinated with the winter weather, and I been tracking these sites for trying to anticipate when the next possible storm may arrive;

I'm hoping that this time, someone gets the forecast right...

I have to a minute to break away from the activities at home tonight. The pizza just arrived and it smells great! YUM I am very glad they got 2 large thick crust pies! The boys do not eat pizza so they ate cereal and juice. The couple that is over tonight are expecting their first child in May and we are talking about how times have changed when men were left out of the pregnancy all together from start to finish. Like in the 50's and early 60's they did not usually go to the Dr appts with their spouse and they did not usually do the childbirth classes and during the delivery they usually just sat in the waiting room(if the wife was lucky,( I say lucky b/c my mom tells me her father in south America was getting drunk at a party while my gradma was in labor!!!) He showed up to take her home from the hospital! anyway I was telling the guy over here to enjoy it and not sweat it because it was the most amazing thing I ever went through, It's truly life changing!! OKay well I better get back in the living room we are about to start the movie on pay per view(dishnetwork) called "dear white people" I really don't want to watch that to put it lightly because I think it is very racist even if it is said in jest. But I don't have a say you know the women over here tonight are in control and I just go along and smile!!! Have a great night everyone!!! I may come back on later tonight if the night ends before too late!!

It is amazing how times have changed!! Hope you had a wonderful night, Dawg!!!!!

Probably!!
We will need to sleep, after all! =]

Sleep? I thought both of us were good without that? LOL!!!

Okay, I won't be as mean as your bosses and I'll let you sleep.

xx

Hi ya folks. We are just getting back from picking Vicki up from school, then we stopped to get dinner at an Italian restaurant and a trip to target to pick up a few things.

Dinner was fantastic, I got this dish that was a plate of spaghetti, topped with three grilled chicken breast, topped with mushrooms and tomato sauce. Add a side order of garlic bread and a cannoli for dessert, I'm feeling very comfortably numb in the recliner.....

I say one thing, wow it's cold out there, wind chill is -6 degrees F at the moment. I stopped and filled up the gas tank and just standing out there for that little bit by the pump was enough for me. I got the fireplace lit and the furnace turned up to 69 degrees.

Well, it's a Friday night and it feels good.. Two days off and if we get a substantial amount of snow on Sunday night into Monday night, it will be three days off for me.

Tomorrow I am going to get up early, drive down to Baltimore County and use their landfill, then stop over in an adjacent town and see a buddy of mine, then visit my grandfather and then come back home and hang out here for the rest of the afternoon/ evening. I'll most likely work in the basement for awhile.

Hope everyone is enjoying their evening so far and I can see that a lot of you had Pizza tonight. Boy, it must be like Italian night tonight....

Dinner sounds amazing expect for the mushrooms!!!! LOL!!

Hope you have a great time with your buddy and Grandfather tomorrow!! Good luck getting everything done!!!! Enjoy your time with Viciki as well!!! Hope the storm doesn't bring ice!!!

Have a great weekend, Xmastidings!!!

Hello everyone. My daughter has the flu. She is actually feeling better than I thought she would. But she's still not great. They said we caught it very early so that's good!

I hope you all have a good night.

Praying for your daughter, Ryan. Hope you have a good weekend.

Good evening!

I hope this finds everyone well!

Golly, over a thousand posts since last I was on here ~ not going to be able to catch up tonight, although I did make an attempt. Things have been busy out this way. Started doing a bit of part time work and it has taken up the majority of the week. Good to be busy, but I do miss being able to visit here at my leisure. My back is doing better ~ only a few minor twinges every now and then. Thank you so much for the thoughts and prayers ~ they really do work!!! {{{HUGS}}}

Be safe and MERRY!!!!

It's good to see you, Meceka!!!! I'm glad to hear that your back is better!!! I hope you can find some time to relax soon!!! Hugs to you and Palmer!!!

Thank you both!

I'm going to watch her very closely through the night. It's sad to even write about but we had a precious little girl, five years old, in our church who died last week due to flu complications. Don't get me wrong, my daughter is not severe in any way! But as a parent you still worry. My heart breaks for that family. So tragic.

That is heartbreaking to hear. Praying for her family.

Goodnight, HMG!!!!!!

Good evening, friends! The kids and I are already cuddled in bed, watching some movies and just relaxing. I have to get them up at 6:30, because EA has a eye doctor at 7:30. She failed her eye exam at school and has been complaining at times of headaches. Now that I did test her vision - looks like she may nearsighted. We'll see. I've had glasses/contacts since early elementary school. Hopefully she won't need them, but she even we'll see! Hopefully they'll both fall asleep here soon!

I hope EA's appt goes well tomorrow.
