Good Morning, MMC!!! It's going to be a little bit cooler today with a high only around 50 degrees. It looks like we have 2 chances of snow in the 7 day forecast though, so I won't complain. Not to much going on here today. Just going to watch nascar and maybe try to squeeze in a nap. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!

It is really damp here, the temps are typical, but just kind of chilled, myself.

I know how you feel. That happened to Mr. last October, and he's still looking for full-time work. He's picking up temp and freelance work here and there, but it's been awfully spotty, and the severance runs out shortly, so my nerves have been awfully tight lately hoping for something steady to come along.

Thanks and I hope your Mr. gets an offer soon too. I am already working on back up plans and ways to cut household costs. Going to make sure the Christmas Club is handled so we wont have to worry about Christmas for the kids. Its scary .. that is for sure.

Good morning ... sitting here enjoying my coffee and trying to catch up onthe all the posts :grin: as I didn't make it back on yesterday. Got side tracked cleaning, purging and rearranging the kitchen cabinets. Didn't realize how many opened containers of assorted cookie decorating christmas sprinkles I had. I was able to combine a couple containers.

Today going to pack up all winter bedding. Was going to do that last weekend but when I saw the roller coaster of temps and snow that was in the forecast I decided to wait an extra week. It was weird waking up to about 2 inches of snow yesterday morning and by 1 pm it was all gone.

Kids want to bake cookies and pretzels today so I guess I better get my day started. Will try to stop back in later.

On the bright side yesterday hubby and I were doing some shopping for the kids for Easter and came across some great clearance sales. Found our son some great shirts that we are tucking away for his birthday and next Christmas and found our daughter some cute pjs that will also be tucked away until Christmas. They were all 70 to 80% off regular prices.

Well gotta get back to the laundry. Will stop back in later.

Minta, I know how it feels, been there done that, and don't want to go back!!! I sure hope that the job hunting goes well for the hubby and that sure is a good sign that he has interviews already set up. For me personally, it was word of mouth (co-workers and friends) and the help of signing up with LinkedIn, (got me in touch with professional recruiters and ex co-workers) that helped me, to get multiple job offers from when I got laid off 5 years ago. It's just a thought, maybe it could help...

I wish you and your family all the luck in the world with the job hunting.. Christmas clubs - I'm totally/ 100% all for them. each and every paycheck, I have money automatically electronically deposited in it and at the beginning of the Christmas season, a check gets mailed to me....It's a great way to save....
