Christmas Countdown - 2015

so much for my day out, tried to start the van and it started to turn over then there was a very loud clunk and that was it, no starting after that!
My new van will not be ready for a week yet so I guess I will be walking or taking the bus this week.

Well that's a bummer. I hope they get the new van done early and that it never gives you any problems.

Good morning!

Having my coffee and then unfortunately (for the bunnies), I am getting ready to take them to the vets...Time for the nails to be clipped and a general check-up.

I'm not entirely sure exactly what I am going to be doing today, because I am on call for work, have to take my daughter to work as well (but I am not sure what time). It's one of those, I'll just roll with the waves kind of a day....

It's a foggy, cold, damp morning here, with the temperatures trying to climb back above the freezing mark. Everything is completely covered in snow again and we had a icy night around these parts last nights on the roads. It's that time of year, where the temperatures are like a yo-yo and there is a big time battle going on between winter and spring... Although, I am seeing and hearing geese flying over and the robins are back here now, so, I would say that winter is going bye-bye....

Hope the Bunnies vet appointment goes well!!!

Good Morning!!! Hubby was laid off unexpectedly last week, thankfully they gave him a severance package. There had been some changes going on in their corp office and other locations in terms eliminating positions and combining certain positions so I guess it was only a matter of time before the changes hit this location. He had a couple interviews this week and another one schedule next week. Hoping and praying one of these come through with an offer.

On the bright side yesterday hubby and I were doing some shopping for the kids for Easter and came across some great clearance sales. Found our son some great shirts that we are tucking away for his birthday and next Christmas and found our daughter some cute pjs that will also be tucked away until Christmas. They were all 70 to 80% off regular prices.

Well gotta get back to the laundry. Will stop back in later.

Praying your husband finds a new job soon.

Congrats on the clearance finds!!! I didn't find anything for my niece's this morning but I did pick up 3 more corned beef briskets to throw in the freezer on clearance.

There was plenty of sun and relaxation, but it was still an exhausting trip. I really enjoyed my first trip to the Caribbean and dive into the Caribbean waters. Kim and my dad really enjoyed everything as well. Aside from the wind, there really isn't many complaints. The food was delicious, but we had to watch what/how much of it we ate... The usual things, really.

Despite it currently snowing, we are pretty happy to be home. On Monday, it will (hopefully) be back to work, and about three months until summer. Until then, I am excited to enjoying the brand new Spring season and countdown to our milestones.

Hope the vet appointment goes well for the bunnies [emoji169] Well, lol...They did well health wise, and they got their nails clipped, but....they were not happy! They are in their cages, laying down, side by side, probably thinking WTH was that all about.....:lol:

It is a funny time of year, weather wise.
We've already had 60s, but now we're back in the 20s, possible snow, etcetera.
The ducks and geese keep flying overhead, but never stay in the ponds for long. Crazy isn't it? Watch, it will go bam right from snow and I'll be outside cutting the grass; lol!

We are making plans to looking at getting a pool for the kids. An above ground one, (because I want to have the ability to get rid of it), if I want to. Just thoughts for now, but we are trying to find a spot outside for it, based upon where the sun shines along the back and side of the house.

Grandmother Update: Granny passed away early Saturday morning. Funeral was Monday & burial Tuesday. I haven't had time to get back here to update you all. I appreciate all your thoughts & prayers for our family over the past few weeks.

We are getting back into a normal groove today, finally. The weekend is packed with birthday parties & car maintenance on Friday & Saturday & church on Sunday. I'm still exhausted, with no relief in site! Hopefully I can get my Sunday afternoon nap in this weekend.

Christmas sighting: Yesterday there was a Christmas commercial on television for a local business. It showed the "Santa train" that goes through rural Kentucky & Tennessee, throwing out gifts to children. DD & I were both confused!

Good Morning!!! Hubby was laid off unexpectedly last week, thankfully they gave him a severance package. There had been some changes going on in their corp office and other locations in terms eliminating positions and combining certain positions so I guess it was only a matter of time before the changes hit this location. He had a couple interviews this week and another one schedule next week. Hoping and praying one of these come through with an offer.

I know how you feel. That happened to Mr. last October, and he's still looking for full-time work. He's picking up temp and freelance work here and there, but it's been awfully spotty, and the severance runs out shortly, so my nerves have been awfully tight lately hoping for something steady to come along.

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be a decent day here with a high near 60 degree's. It looks like we may see some wind to though. Not much on my agenda for today. I need to run to walmart and pick up some more allergy meds and a few other things at some point. My niece's are with my BIL for the next week on spring break so my sister is headed to Kentucky to visit a friend. She gets lost going to the north side of indy by herself let alone driving 6 hours to Paducah. So I'll be waiting on her to call saying she's lost and asking where to go. Other than that, who knows what kind of trouble I will get myself in to. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!
