Good morning.

I suppose this morning, I was not fully awake yet when I left the house this morning to head to work, because I took the pick-up truck. Well, the truck, was fully loaded to about 3 feet above the cab of the truck, with all this stuff that I was going to take to the dump later this week. I didn't tie anything down, but had it packed really tight and had the lighter stuff on the bottom with heavier stuff on top. I got about half way to work this morning (during rush hour traffic no less) and one of the boxes in the truck blew open (the box was 5 feet tallx3'x3' and it was full of insulation). Well, let's just say that I apparently left a bread crumb trail of insulation from here (work) back to home.... I had no clue at all the box blew open...I was kinda wondering why I had no one directly behind me on the Baltimore Beltway this morning when there is usually a million cars on it.....oops...

Well, that is too bad. But it was an honest mistake.

I have a half awake story, too. I just couldn't wake up this morning, I was making waffles and had syrup out, and put syrup in my coffee cup, instead of on my waffles, lol. Duh.

Needless to say, I'm on my third cup of coffee!

Well, that is too bad. But it was an honest mistake.

I have a half awake story, too. I just couldn't wake up this morning, I was making waffles and had syrup out, and put syrup in my coffee cup, instead of on my waffles, lol. Duh.

I so had my head still in the pillow yet, when I left the house this morning. I could of stayed in bed for a couple of more hours.... Yes, the coffee is a blessing this morning, I'm finally getting a chance to start consuming my third cup this morning, hopefully, it will kick in soon because I feel like taking a nap...

I hope the coffee works for you as well my friend. Plus, I sure hope that both you and I can get 8 hours of sleep tonight; I think I got 4.... (total last night)

You are right about that. It's difficult sometimes to walk the line between being neighborly and kind to strangers, and being careful and safe---both in real life and online.

I heard that! Definitely can't do anything like that now-a-days... And that my friend, is a shame....

There are so few people left from that time period ... I'm just in awe of hearing stories from someone who lived through those decades. It's part of why we're so awed with Gloria when she tells us about her experiences in Hollywood, singing with Bing Crosby, dancing with Donald O'Connor, working with W.C. Fields (who was very fond of her), having Mel Torme play "The Christmas Song" on her piano before it was published and recorded ... and some not-so-nice stories about Hollywood and public life, too. Thinking that people we only see on a screen, she remembers as you or I would remember time spent with a co-worker. It's amazing what one life can encompass.

Isn't that the truth. I thank the Lord that at least I have been blessed to of have been lucky and able to share and listen to the stories of my grandfather....

I need to get moving as soon I finish my cup of coffee, I have to head in to work today. Not too much going on afterward. I just have to run to the supermarket at some point. [Holiday]

Good afternoon/evening. I ended up spending most of the day with my grandfather and at the doctors office. About 6 hours total of driving, doctor and pharmacy.... I have to take him for some follow up test because the heart doctor detected that he is retaining water again and he would like my grandfather to have additional test to test for congestive heart failure. Me, I call it old age (96.5). So, I have to take him next week for an ECHO, xray and blood work and then the doc wants to see him again in a month. It is what it is. Days like this, I just take one of my vacation days and spend it with him; kinda no rush sort of day....

I didn't really get into doing anything with the basement today, just didn't have the time to really get into it. So, I just asked my son to give me a hand carrying building supplies into the house so they won't tomorrow if it rains (like they are calling for it to do so). Plus that way, it's in the house and I don't have to worry about them.

Well, hope everyone is enjoying their day so far....

Hoping & praying his tests go well! And I think your feelings are right on. When they get up there in age, there are going to be some slow downs & set backs! Wishing him & you all the best. I'm glad you were able to take him & spend a day with him. I'm sure he really appreciates it!

It's doing better. Still not completely pain free. Went to the doctor and they said the knee pain and hip pain is because of how I'm walking on the foot. She thinks there is multiple things going on with the foot but isn't sure what all of them are. So she is sending me to an ortho and pulled me off of work until I get seen by them. That's not until the 20 though. So I don't think Walmart is to happy with me.

Oh no! I hope there is an easy fix for your foot! xx Sorry to hear that is bothering you so much!

And speaking of advancing, our count has rapidly been doing just that.

Now barely 10 days separate us from the half-way point to the Season.
SINGLE DIGITS from tomorrow!



Fantastic day here yesterday with continued low humidity, highs in the 70's and no precip whatsoever.
(I intend to enjoy it while I can with the knowledge that the heat of Summer is just around the corner.)
Today has commenced at 61 degrees here in central NC.

Jim told Gracie last night the groomer must have cut off 10 pounds! Lol!
Yep - both gardening & farming are a lot of work, but if it's a good year - very rewarding! Just can't beat those fresh fruits & veggies! :-D But I always dread the mess in the kitchen that comes along with canning! Not sure I'm ready to mess up my new kitchen just yet. LOL

Good morning MMC! Feliz Cinco de Mayo ~ Tuesday! In lue of my normal banana for breakfast this morning I am having Jalapeno dip (pico de gallo) YUM! Haven't had a chance to drink much of my coffee this morning as Jalapeno's & coffee aren't the greatest pair! cheesy

Not much going on around here today. Last night I went to the garden & picked a bunch of asparagus, took Gracie for a walk, trimmed some rose bushes - my hubby went mushroom hunting & fishing ~he had no luck at either.
As I mentioned we will be going out for Mexican tonight with my family. Looking forward to that!
