Christmas Countdown - 2015

Hello everyone, hope your all having a pleasant night. We just got in from a trip to BJ's to stock up on some bulk items that we let get low prior to us going on vacation. We are actually sitting here in the family room at the moment, lights off, and watching the lightning bugs thru the windows. It's the first time we seen them this year. I like to look at them....

Been Crushed at work, have an injured grandfather been taking care of, got multiple projects going on around the house, including a major plumbing job that I am doing myself in the basement, running the sanitary, vent and domestic water piping...and just doing the Dad, hubby regular stuff...

Looking forward to this weekend, Fathers Day, planning to head down to my in-laws, just have burgers and dogs on the grill (I requested a simple menu) and jump in their pool for the first time this year.

Well I'm going to just mosey on over and help myself to some vanilla ice cream and some banana walnut pound cake, and turn on the cooking channel for a little while.

A long day, I am absolutely bushed. One more day until my day off. My exciting news is that my schedule is changing, I will be going in earlier, and of course getting out earlier. No more nights, except for inventories, once a month. The biggest news is I am guaranteed at least one weekend off a month, it is about time, I have been fighting for that for 4 years now. No more going 3 months without back to back days off. Wooohoo!

I am heading to the land of Nod.

I was having a feeling that it was going to be here sooner than I thought. Just think about it, Sunday will be the longest day of the year and then the daylight clock starts heading back in the other direction. My goodness, before you know it, 4th of July will be here.

Good Morning. Looks like the remnants of Tropical storm Bill is finally starting to make it's way here. It's overcast, sprinkling rain, and very gloomy and humid outside. The main part of the rain is not supposed to be here until later tonight, but we are supposed to get this on and off shower thing for the most part of today.

Funny thing, I must of hurt myself somehow, and I have no idea how or what I did. Last night when I went to bed, my left knee, leg above my knee and left hip was bothering me where I could not get comfortable in the bed. This morning, I awake, and it is still hurting. I have not the foggiest idea what I did; I'm blaming it on that over 50 ache's and pains...:-?

Hmmmm, busy day planned. I'll head down and spend some time with my grandfather, check his bandages and re-wrap his leg, fill his medicine dispensers and do whatever else needs to be done. Then, come back home and work in the basement for the rest of the day and into the night, since I will be home by myself until later tonight.

Ok, time for the first cup of Java this morning....:wink:
