He loves Christmas too, mainly for the gift bags and to offer assistance in wrapping presents, although he likes to pull the Scotch Tape off and reposition it with his teeth and paws. I'm surprised he hasn't wound up wrapping himself up.

When I was singing along to my own tunes, I had so much fun that I hit replay and well imagined myself in a Christmas movie driving through a snowy world singing away to the top of my lungs and the people watching realizing that I didn't sing all that well, but they'd be smiling because I was having so much fun driving and singing to myself.

Your description made me think of this (I doubt O'Malley would sit still for it!):
 
The weather is gray and sticky and could break out in showers and thunderstorms later, so it's a good day for relaxing. I had all sorts of good ideas for projects last night, but after getting up this morning, I have no energy for them. Maybe I'll get a little "zing" later in the day. With July almost over, I must get the Christmas projects rolling!

We celebrated CIJ last night with a Christmas episode of "Mrs. Brown's Boys." That was a lot of fun!

Throughout the summer, our Christmas cactus has been growing like crazy. I hope we get a lot of blossoms this winter. If she doesn't wear herself out with growing bigger!

We looked it up online and the mixer retails for $80, so it WAS a great bargain. Looking forward to making Christmas cookies now. Even with a hand mixer, the final stages of cookie dough were hard on my hand and arm.
