I know I just replied to my own quote that's why I'm whispering, but I dug through some photos and found one with the diaper designs to share.

The elephant was from me along with other items because I was hosting the shower. Diaper-cycle and diaper-buggy made by two different people and they're so adorable. This one had a lamb riding it, but the one I saw in June had a bear. I don't have that kind of talent, that's why I didn't wrap the elephant - actually it was in a huge gift bag.

That is adorable. What a clever idea!!!

My mother is 70 years old today...
I dont know how to feel about that
She is my Mom, and forever young in my eyes and she was just 50!??
Well, time travels fast...

So how is everyone doing here?
When do schools starts again where you are?
Here the schools starts again at August 17th

We havent had much summer here
Can count the summerdays on one hand
The weather looks more like Autumn
So it's going to be a looooooong Autumn
And thats allright by me! ♡ I love Fall!

Happy Birthday to your Mom! I hope she has a wonderful birthday. Time sure does fly! It's bittersweet to see our parents aging. (Good thing we are not aging!)

Good morning, MMCers!!

Are you feeling a little letdown after the excitement of the last two days in the countdown? Are you getting the post-milestone blues?

Well, break out the jingle bells and turn on those happy Christmas lights, because our next milestone is now only a week away!!!

Crown84 I'm sure will tell us all about this when he's back on Sunday morning, but our 3/4 mark to the season's beginning is one week from today!

Time sure is flying faster than Santa's sleigh, isn't it?

MUCH cooler here today after storms again last night. The high isn't even 80 degrees! But it's also cloudy and rainy. Hope everyone is staying cool and getting ready for a rockin' weekend!

Looking forward to a GREAT day today--FINALLY am not traveling anywhere for the weekend...which really means the summer is drawing to a close for me. Summer is always filled with so many different plans and so much travel, so many schedules to juggle...it can feel exhausting. I'm really looking forward to having this afternoon and all weekend off!! Lots of cleaning and organizing to be done around the house, but that's glorious compared to travel right now!! Perhaps a little Christmas music or movie marathon is in order while I do that!

Hope everyone has a swell day! I can't believe how fast August is passing. Wow. Soon it'll be September!

Hope your mom enjoys a lovely celebration.

When my mom turned 70, she and my dad had celebrated her birthday in Florida when they spent three months in a warmer climate without snow so my mom could navigate with a bit more ease after she broke her hip from a fall.
I was just over there yesterday for a visit and she's feeling a bit lonely these days. So many of parents friends don't visit as much as they used to because my mom has had some health issues; she'll be 75 in March. I admit she looks frail, but she still has her charm and wit.
Whenever I run into mutual friends, I let them know she's very much up to receiving visitors. Wishing your mom good health!

Good morning MMC! Happy, Happy Friday! Hope you are all having a wonderful morning so far!

Jim made it to Michigan yesterday. They had happy hour & dinner last night, then had breakfast at 4am this morning & on the boat by 5am! He sent pictures at 6am this morning of them on the boat. So I sent him a picture of Gracie laying next to me on the bed & told him his spot has been taken over. HA!

Gracie & I stayed at the lake & I went out with neighbors to dinner (which they wouldn't let me pay for!) so we stopped at the bar/restaurant close to our trailers & I bought them a night cap. It was a good evening! We got up early this morning & headed home & now I'm at work til noon & we'll head back to the lake! I'm hoping the lawn doesn't need mowed before I can go. LOL!

TGIF, my Christmas friends!

I finished with the lawn yesterday, just in time to shower, eat, and catch the debate.

Today is the weekly lunch my brother and I have with our mom, so I'm looking forward to that. We haven't had a chance to do this in a few weeks. This is the last Friday that the kids will be out of school, so I'll be missing that soon, too. Time flies!

How sweet that you and your brother have a weekly lunch date with your mum. My mum and I had our Friday traditions as well, some included lunch, shopping, I went with her on doctor's visits and such. I look back on all those times fondly, especially when I'm missing her so.

Cherish those times, I'm sure she loves the fact that her sons think of her to take time out of their busy lives and never forget. It warms this mum's heart and I hope my girls do the same when they leave the nest.

Happy Happy Friday everyone - everywhere!

We made it to the end of another week WHOO-HOOO! I don't have much of a weekend planned which is fine by me but my youngest might feel differently. I'll be cleaning a lot this weekend and making sure my arrangements I made for dog sitting are all in place while we're gone. I'll miss Buttercup but she'll get a special treat when we return.
