It is right near North Conway, which is a beautiful Rockwellian New England village. We were up that way back in December 2008 for the Polar Express Journey to the North Pole event. That was an amazing thing to do, the face on JP was of sheer awe as we took the train to the "North Pole." (He was 3 when we went) http://www.journeytothenorthpole.org/event-info.html

That looks like so much fun! I can only imagine the reaction of a 3 year old. Awesome memory!

Good evening,
Made it through another Monday, they just never stop coming, do they?

A very long day at work, it kicked my butt today, my arms hurt to lift from everything I lifted today. I better get use to it because soon my nemesis, frozen turkeys, will be there to cause bodily pain throughout November. Only 6-7 more weeks until I start getting my first shipments of Thanksgiving turkeys in.
I am heading to sleepville, my eyelids are being held up by toothpicks at this point.

Goodnight, everyone.

I hope today is a better day!!! xx Hard to believe turkey time is getting so close!

Whew....what a day. Got to work about 6:30 this morning and got home about 15 minutes ago. I have a surprise for the teachers and kids, but I had to wait for all the teachers to leave. Around 5:00, I finally locked the building up and started. I painted a section of wall that is about 25 feet long and about 10 feet high, put vinyl letters on it, and then hung about 27 plaques. After that, I went around the hallways and hung 40 posters that was pictures of kids blown up. It looks great, but I'm wore out. Gotta be back in about 6 hours, so I'm going to hit the hay. Y'all have a good night.
What a great Principal you are!!;)

Maybe we should make a date to meet there!
My friend says they have sleigh rides in the wintertime ... Her family has a weekend up there every year during the Christmas season. I envy that!

That would be great!!!

Excited!!! :jump
Good Morning, Folks.

We march onward. Every onward.
Toward that place.
A destination that looms ahead, growing larger by the day.

Let's check our progress, shall we?
Days to the Season: 94
Days to Christmas Day: 136

And a quick perusal of our Countdown chart reveals that we have now passed inside the HALF A WEEK MARK to our next Milestone, the 3/4 point to the start of the Season.
That's right -- just THREE days away!

Rather nice here, yesterday.
The temp and humidity were down and only the briefest sprinkle of rain passed by to mar perfection.
Today should be similar and it has begun at 77 degrees.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Friends!
Enjoy this day-before-'Pines Day.

77 is a warm start. It is 7:40 am here and already 85! Yikes! Bring on our "cold" front, happening this Thursday, high of only 96 degrees! Lol!

As always, thanks for the Countdown. We are getting closer!

Good Morning MMC !
two more days of work and then vacation time ! Had a great time with friends last night just visiting and talking. Was supposed to be a picnic but got rained out, but it was fun anyway.
Got a few things to do yet before leaving, always have to leave the house clean of course.

Have a fantastic day everyone !

Good morning CS!!! Hope your 2 days at work go good 'n quick so you can get on that vacation!! Have a great day!

Good morning, Christmas friends! I can't believe this week, we'll be halfway through August already! WOW! September 1 is really the start of fall for me, but as my mom says, August is the first of the longer named months, meaning we're close. All the colder months have longer names--have you noticed that? You can thank my mom for the tip if you haven't! :)

Today's a simple day-work, home, working out, and writing a letter to a friend. A good day! Looking forward to it. And it's already Tuesday!!! We're one day a way from the Pines and the halfway point of the week! Let's have a great day!

Have a great day DYHWIH!!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Nancy's mom's trip to the eye doctor was a success! They designed some glasses that will vastly improve her diabetes-diminished vision. Nancy says they aren't the most fashionable glasses she's ever seen, but if they work, so what!

I took the kids to their dance and guitar practices last night, and we got home about 9pm. We ran through the KFC drive-through for some of their grilled chicken. When we got home, though, we found that we'd been given FRIED chicken. Bummer. ;) It really IS finger-lickin' good, even if it's not on my diet!

I hope y'all have a great day :D

Good morning snowflake!! I hope Har is having a good morning too!!! Have a great day!
Good morning, friend! She seemed to be OK today, slept most of the time just followed me around the house and snoozed ;-) hope you have a great day, too! I'll be thinking of you guys ❤️

Good morning everyone ~
I had a rough night. Maggie's cough flared up and I stayed awake with her for hours. I just called to make an appointment with her specialist and they can't take her until Friday. I'm upset that we have to wait that long. Praying she isn't as bad today. It's so stressful.
And today would have been Molly's 13th birthday. I miss her so very much.
We are expecting heavy rain today so I don't plan on doing too much. I need to go to the supermarket for a few things but I guess I'll put it off until tomorrow.
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day.

I love seeing your countdown to the Ber's but it seems impossible!! We haven't had summer yet! LOL! (well maybe a couple weeks of summer!)
I am sorry that you guys haven't had that much warm weather, I know how much you love summer. Hoping that the rest of this month doesn't disappoint :)

Hope you have a great day!
