Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good morning everyone!
Happy Monday!
I lost my internet connection for a little while this morning but all is well now. Not too much going on here today, typical day of errands and chores. I also have to do some birthday gift shopping for my daughters boyfriend. That's about it for me. I hope everyone had a nice weekend and has a great week ahead!

In regards to Maggie taking the pills, I have tried so many different things. I think a big part of the problem is not only how finicky she is, but that she is so small too. She has teeny tiny teeth and only takes very small pieces of food at a time. Not saying all small dogs are like that but she sure is. Even when I try and give her pill pockets, I have to kind of squish them flat, otherwise they're too big for her. She refused to take her medicine this morning, I'm nervous now. It's crazy.
I really appreciate the prayers!

Okay, this may or may not be for you or Maggie. But it can be a last resort =]

I had to use one of these when Harlowe was diagnosed with her liver troubles. She had numerous doses of pills a day, Adi was traveling, and my neighbor wasn't always available to help me. And I sometimes had to do get the job done quickly while on breaks at work.

Take into consideration the size of pills, if you need to go this route, and look at different brands to see what would be best for her.

Wow, I didn't even know they made these things! Lulu refuses pills, too, but I've always stuck them down her throat with my finger. It's yucky & icky, and she's mad at me for a little while after, but it works. I might get one of these and try it out, too. Thanks!

I was not Harlowe's favorite afterwards, either, but it needed to be done.
She got over it quickly, though, because I was the only one home ;)

Thank you! He got in about midnight, but it took him a couple hours to get unwound enough to sleep. Happily, he doesn't have to work today, so he can recover.
Today is a sad one at our office. One of our long-time creatives (who has been working long, hard hours for a pitch that is going on today) lost her husband suddenly this morning---the day they and their kids were to leave on a well-earned vacation. It was a terrible shock to everyone here.

Thank you. It really is tragic. We just heard from her writing partner (who went out to see her this morning) that the husband just collapsed and was instantly gone. Late last night. At least the children didn't witness it. Our hearts are all aching for her.
