And so we begin the last full week of the second third of our trip back to Christmas.

Yes, next week (one week from tomorrow in fact!) will see us to the TWO THIRDS mark to Christmas Day and the start of the FINAL third of our voyage.

Days to Christmas Day: 130


The humidity was up a bit yesterday and the trend will continue this week, as Mother Nature reminds us not to get too smug -- there is still plenty of Summer weather left.
Today has commenced at 72 degrees under calm and sunny skies here in the capital city.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had to have some blood drawn this morning for my physical next week. Ouch! As you know, I live in a small community, and everybody knows everybody, pretty much. I was the first person the waiting room, and I had my back to the front door. I heard someone walking in the door behind me and say, "Hey, Brad!" I turned around and had a conversation with him, then he went in the back. A few minutes later someone else walked in and said "Good morning, Brad!"

Like I said, it's a small town, but everyone knows me by the back of my head? Did I get a tattoo back there without remembering?

Seriously. I'm asking. The 90's were a blur.

I lost my internet connection for a little while this morning but all is well now. Not too much going on here today, typical day of errands and chores. I also have to do some birthday gift shopping for my daughters boyfriend. That's about it for me. I hope everyone had a nice weekend and has a great week ahead!

Thank you! He got in about midnight, but it took him a couple hours to get unwound enough to sleep. Happily, he doesn't have to work today, so he can recover.
Today is a sad one at our office. One of our long-time creatives (who has been working long, hard hours for a pitch that is going on today) lost her husband suddenly this morning---the day they and their kids were to leave on a well-earned vacation. It was a terrible shock to everyone here.

So sorry to hear this, MerryCarey. Prayers and thoughts for them and for you. It's so hard to lose someone so suddenly.

Good Afternoon/Evening christmas friends..So glad my Monday is over..I sure don't like Mondays

Glad it is for me too--I cut my finger and just had a weird day all over!! Tuesday here we come!

Well mom's appointment didn't go exactly to plan. The doctor was happy with where her sugar levels were finally but then got freaked out when mom told her about all of the problems she has been having the last couple of weeks. So she made her stay and have several tests done. Then set her up with an appointment with her Neurologist tomorrow morning. They are hoping to keep her from going into another full fledge stroke but we will see. I don't think there is really much they can do at this point.

Now we are at my aunts house so I can get a few things done on the computer. I had hoped to get caught up on here but with my niece's going to be home from school in a few minutes, I don't think that's going to happen. So maybe I'll have a good connection at home and can get caught up tonight.

Hope you all had a nice weekend. Christmas is starting to creep in. Debenhams brought out some wrapping paper and cards and some left over clearance decorations from last year. I managed to grab some candy canes that were a bargain. I really wanted them last year so it was a pleasant surprise to stumble upon them and at 70%off!!!! Mum and I have been talking so much about Christmas. I hope we can spend one together sometime.

Went to the museum with the kids today. It was wonderful. We spend hours there and didn't even realise it! Our favourite was the huge dinosaur reconstruction and mummies! So much there though.

Ok well hope you all are enjoying the summer. Make the most of it before the cold rolls in ! Then again for some of you with hot summers, cooler weather will be welcomed I'm sure
