You and I want a little more summer than everyone else! I'm not ready to say goodbye to the summer temps and bright days yet, either. They'll be here soon enough! But until then, it's still August, and I'm not letting it go until the 31st.

Amen sista! I think our winter was just so long last year & I'm not ready for that again! And our summer has been so wet! We'll take what we get, but I'm going to enjoy summer...especially the more hours of daylight!!!

I think sugar loves summer, the warmth and the beach especially.

I enjoy all seasons, myself. Fall just happens to be my favorite! And it's always too short!

I'm not anywhere near ready to put the convertible or the pontoon away yet either!!! xx

Thank you! He got in about midnight, but it took him a couple hours to get unwound enough to sleep. Happily, he doesn't have to work today, so he can recover.
Today is a sad one at our office. One of our long-time creatives (who has been working long, hard hours for a pitch that is going on today) lost her husband suddenly this morning---the day they and their kids were to leave on a well-earned vacation. It was a terrible shock to everyone here.

I am so sorry to hear that, I will keep the family in my thoughts.

I'm in a bidding war on Ebay for a part for the Camaro. It's just a fancy B&M shifter, so it's not an essential part, but I WANT IT! That worries me; I don't always employ common sense when I start bidding on things. I'm currently the high bidder, but just barely.

Good morning MMC! Happy Tuesday!
Not much going on here today. Just work & then I have to take Gracie to the vet for a new blood pressure reading. Praying that comes back normal - or maybe I should pray for it to be low so they can take her off some of her medicine! (Maybe!) Regardless - I hope it goes well! xx
I got a visit from a lady doing surveys for the census bureau last night. They want us to take a survey. UGH! She is supposed to call at 6:00 tonight. I don't want to talk to her!!! She rang the door bell then started beating on the door before I could even get to the door. What the heck?! They have a whole list of stuff they want us to have ready (how much we pay for electric, etc) I don't have time for that!!!
On a lighter note, I forgot to tell you about my finds at Ben Franklin over the weekend. They have their fall stuff out & they are starting to put out Christmas!

Well mom's in full on stroke mode today. Face drooping, right side numb, and can't really walk for more than a few steps. Neuro sent her for another ct scan this morning and we should be getting the results of it soon. It won't show anything though. So they are just going to put her on a different blood thinner that she was actually on before right after she had her first stroke. So I think that shows how well it's going to work.

Made, I will be sure to keep her in my thoughts.

We're agreed on that, then. Pumpkins are nice to look at, but not to eat!
I do get a craving for cinnamon and gingerbread when fall approaches. And hot cocoa.

I get a craving for apple pie and cider donuts once the weather gets a nice chill.
